I'd like to mark your words, especially when Grude has another hissey fit and sells to Allam the mad man

| I do feel for city and I as do many FC fans like city to do well but having read the Allams interview in the mail this morning it doesn't fill me with any confidence at all.
Thank god the council didn't give this muppet the KC. I'm sure AP will still keep involved in Football through his consultancy company aswell as driving FC forward.

Agree with that as I also like to see City do well as it does benefit the City etc and I wouldn't wish what was going on on any fan. Just a pity the City fans and the local media didnt see tread with caution when Assem Allam appeared with his so called gift to the City of Hull instead of proclaiming him to be the saviour of the Tigers and City etc and fawning all over him.
For once HCC actually did the right thing and took their time and with due diligence made their decision regarding the KC Stadium and surrounding area which in my view was undoubtably the correct decision.
Also the fact he hasnt actually put £50M of his own coin in yet still seems to get glassed over when in fact it is so far only a guarantee.
Be interesting to know who they are going to go to for football related advice in future no they have removed AP.

I suspect they are going to get a proper experienced manager like a billy davies, mick mccarthy, dave jones type who can make big decisions without the need for a self employed director of football to hold their hands like most clubs, only guessing mind.

Are they all yes men who do exactly as the chairman says and will not voice their opinions about the lack of money for players in the press?

well billy davies and dave jones have a long history of championship success whilst not whining about not having any brass to spend, don't know about mccarthy mind can't see him being a whinger though.

they have but in differing circumstances, look at davies sacking at derby, got them up with no money got sacked for not keeping them up with no money, a bit harsh that. jones and davies both got sacked for continually getting a team to the play offfs but not winning them, i reckon city would be happy with that. mccarthy has done relatively well where ever he's been on small budgets imho.
either way, with an experienced manager at the helm adam pearson's role becomes unneccessary

You know what, I dont.
Remember when we was up the creek, all the City fans pouring support out for us, i think not.
We've taken enough cack off them "get off our pitch" "without us there would be no stadium" etc etc.
As for "we have been there" Well plenty of Hull fans in blinkers posted on here supporting Kath and Rule saying "remember where we have come from" "they saved us"
Shame they never listed to the posters who were telling it how it was, Kath and Rule were no good for us, end of.
In the context of City, as soon as AP left them first time they have gone downhill, AP should have stuck it out with Wilkinson, I bet Bartlett is laughing his bits off. As for Bullard, where is he?
Allam "we wanted to pay £40k per week for a player"
Allam "we cant afford a £40k per week player"

| Maybe he walked when he saw the new pricing plans
15% increase on season passes (roughly up £50 to £450-£500)

or maybe when he saw the actual loans of £50m as opposed to direct investment (remember, the financial year 2010/11 filing date was Monday)

That was hardly news though. There's apparently a thread on the City forum from shortly after the takeover stating that the 'investment' was actually a £51M 'soft loan' from Allam Marine.

| Got to say it was news to me until a couple of days ago. Looking at some of the reactions of City fans the week it has still come as news to a lot of them, too..
It's still interesting that the local media are still citing the £50M [iinvested[/i version, as are the Allams. If a bank lent a million pounds to a client, would they class it as an investment or a loan? If a body owned 2 companies, and used the assets of one to guarantee the loans of the second, would that be classed as the body investing in the second?
Either way, if the great Hull public knew that the £50M wasn't a direct injection from the Allam's personal wealth, would that have made the pursuit of the stadium for next to nothing even more unpalatable, given the philanthropistic justification touted?

Is that the real figure ? I was talking to a city fan this morning and he was saying 20% .

I think most of them ignored it on purpose TBH.

Quite. A few lone voices have been saying for some time that the Allams [ipersonal[/i wealth isn't as great as has been made out, and most of the money they've spent around the city has come from their business interests.
