| Quote: *1865* "Yet more superfluous BS.
Think people need to understand what it is i'm saying. I'm saying that, in this instance, i'd rather we gave Logan the chance than a reject NRL. Yes i'm quite aware that the odd NRL 'reject' has turned out to be decent. But for every Sam Moa, there's 4 or 5 Brett Seymour's.
Some people (luckily nobody at the club) also seem to be talking about him moving to 6 when Pryce retires! Well, again i'd rather HTW be given that chance alongside Sneyd, who by then will have had 2 years at the club and will be in a position of experience to help someone like HTW settle in.
We also have Abdull, who at the moment should be kept mainly in the halves with the odd bit of game time at LF. Giving him the 13 shirt would be silly, the pack is far more demanding and he doesn't possess great fitness & stamina, yet!'"
So we give Logan the shirt and when he's either injured or not quite up to it, who do we play? Yeaman? who has clearly had his day.
We've signed him, so let's see him play before we slag him off.
IMO Logan is not yet ready to play week in week out in SL.

Not enough to keep in SL though eh?

That's a fair point, I don't particularly agree with it, but it's fair enough.
I'm probably mainly angry about our inability to sign an actual centre. Why can't we?
I'm actually hoping we still sign Inu & Vidot and this kid is just a back up.

I don't know, maybe we have. Let's wait until all our recruitment has been finalised.
Then we can have a reasoned debate on who, or what we don't agree with.

Recent history suggests we can't sign a genuine centre with footwork and a pass. Someone who naturally knows how to play the Centre role. Only Logan at the club that can.

| Hasn't Mahe Fonua played a lot in the centre position, I'm sure he played most of his games on 2014 in that position ?

Not sure, played in the centres this weekend I think. Wouldn't mind him & Logan in the centres, two very different types.

I think ours backs will be
Shaul
Lancaster
Talanoa
Carlos (can't yet spell his second name)
Fonua
Naughton
Logan
Not quite as good as the backline I expected, but has some potential there and certainly looks better on paper than this years.
I still see no need for Michael, particularly when we have Yeaman who could cover centre and move Talanoa to the wing.

I'd be disappointed with Talanoa at centre, think his strengths are better suited to the wing.
Shaul
Lancaster
Fonua
Logan
Talanoa
Naughton
Tuimavave
That's based on what we've supposedly signed.
Quite a difference from the back 5 i'd hoped for -
Shaul
Lancaster
Inu
Logan
Vidot
Naughton
Talanoa
I too don't see the need to retain Micheals, but Yeaman does see himself playing in the pack, so maybe worth a new deal?

I don't like Talanoa on the wing, too slow and terrible under the high ball, he isn't a top class centre but makes breaks and with Lancaster backing him up, think he could get a hatful, he would have scored against Wigan. I think he is slightly ahead of Logan who needs more strength, particularly in defence.

Defence, especially at centre, is always going to be the one question mark of any young centre. Think with a good off season there's no reason why he can't do a 'Ben Crooks'. As long as he puts the effort in I think it's worth persevering with.

I still think he will play plenty of games, any injury to wingers, centres or halfs I'd expect him to be in.
Wasn't convinced about him, but has impressed me again this year.
I really like the look of Bower from the 19s, has all the attributes to be a top centre.

Yeamo is signed on for 2016 on a lesser contract.
