| Quote: Karen "I think the big difference is that the majority of the football season is through the winter so less likely to impact on family days/weekends away whereas we play in prime family holiday time. It's okay for those where all the family comes, but when it's only part of the family that attends, you're torn between the rugby or going out/away with the family.'"
Exactly this. My wife and daughter are not interested. My son is now only just getting into it. Fridays gave me the weekend with my family, Saturdays or Sundays and I've got a decision to make, and this year, rugby didn't win many times. No consultation was made across the pass holders IMO, and my pass was renewed prior to them announcing the change in days

| The clubs are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Unlesss there is a clear and demonstrable opinion in either direction then they must do what they think is the best option to take. I'm lucky in that I can accommodate either choice but understand that there will always be differing views.

| Saturday or Sunday 3pm for me, its a nightmare getting to the KC on a Friday night on the M62 from Leeds, which three of us have been doing for a number of years. Last year was great, no stress, clear roads and the return of away fans improving the atmosphere.

Seems as though you are getting your wish.
No Friday night games except those chosen for sky.
Only negative for Saturday games for me is the extra traffic getting through town and parking?
Had started parking in St Stephens and walking through but that is a non starter on a Saturday afternoon.

Interestingly I see our dear neighbours across the river are no longer doing Sunday games and all their home games are to be a Friday night

It doesn't make that much difference to me but I've always preferred the atmosphere under the lights on Friday's.
I don't mind Sunday games but I'm not keen on Saturday afternoons. Apart from Catalans do any other club play regularly on Saturdays?
I see Rovers have done it in reverse.

One of the reasons being that no team has won the Grand Final playing home games on a Sunday afternoon

Behind the South Stand, under the flyover, its a doddle to be honesty. We used to park near the Boulevard Academy but after the railway footbridge was shut it became a bit of a nightmare getting away. Ill keep this pass as long as I have a season ticket

| First up is Castleford at home on Sunday 19th February.
Full fixure list out tomorrow morning at 08.30.
We have generally been good starters - we've won eight round one fixtures in the last nine seasons which clearly suggests that the result of the first game isn't the be all and end all.

Yes a big win at Cas which we followed up the following week with another comfortable win at home to Wakey.
Wheels came off then and a poor run including a home defeat in the snow to Harlequins and a 0-46 hammering by Saints at the KC saw John Kear getting the sack.
