Looking at the stats he made 2 tackle busts and 16 tackles. It was his work in defence I noticed most.

Bowden i feel shows more defense then Go forward. Bowden has the potential to be another Sam Moa, but he needs more game time.
As for watt's i agree 6th choice prop now. Since he signed i think he's gone backwards. Lost his offload game now and imo goes down to easy.

You need a hard working prop who gets through a lot of D when you have the go forward of Carvell, Paea and Feka.

I think with the injuries we have in the front row at the moment, he has the opportunity to kick on and like you said the only way he will improve as a player is with plenty of game time. This is the chance he has been looking for, I hope he takes it. |

He's more like a mini ogre for me. Solid built and solid hard hitting defender. Few cats guys stopped dead other night when he stuck shoulder in. Carried the ball well but needs to keep improving in that dept.few games will do him good. Never had a good run of games! |

Not sure if Bowden would have got his chance if Green & Watts hadn't got injured, but impressed against Catalan and now gets his chance for an extended run.

Watts has been dissapointing since his move from KR (apart from that first half season), and can see him gone at the end of the season unless he recovers his form. Last season Watts was a shoe in, now he needs to fight hard to win a place back, depth in the squad and competition for places (when all are fit) bodes well. |
