He's a good player, deserves his chance, but wouldn't say he's as good as Roby or even Robinson come to think of it.

Good luck to the kid for getting the call up but says more about the England set up for me because imo he's nowhere near international standard.

Seriously?? I have to disagree..i think houghtons been one of our form players this year..hes not the finished article but defo good enough for Englands Second team..Dont know why people have such a downer on him to be honest.

I dont mean this with any disrespect he's a bit of a poor mans roby for me. Does a very similar job for Hull.

His game is nothing like roby's

well done danny fully deserved, hes got great energy makes a million tackles and scoots a game and is giving some good service espcially close to the line but still has alot to work on

Not knocking him as i think he's a 'good' player but i dont think he's an excellent player though that may come in time. Going to the NRL would massively benefit him

How many players in the England first team are 'excellent'? Roby, Graham, Burgess, Ellis and that's about it. After that there good players near enough. Houghton making it into the knights squad is still an achievment, is something we should all be pleased about and not putting a downer on it.

year too early but lest be real its the train on squad knights... but a step up again for the lad deserved after a great season where he has developed even further
