Europa did make replicas back then (I had one) - they were sold through Clothing House on Hessle Road - my auntie worked there, so I got one for a christmas present one year. Hull's first sponsor was Shopacheck, then in 2003-04 we had ABI on the real shirts in a similar yellow flock print. I have an original away playing shirt from that year and that is made by Umbro. If a replica is worth 500, I should maybe sell it for at least twice that!!!

i have aa original genuine replica shirt either 83/84 made by umbro size a lot smaller than i am now

One thing that certainly gives it away is the club badge. We had the three crowns in 1980. That is easily verified by looking at any footage from the 1980 cup final.
