We haven't given up, the lawyers in london are still working extremely hard to get his visa sorted. I believe we have been told by the UKBA that it is very unlikely he will be granted a visa to play for us, not definite but unlikely

Have to say I'm very surprised they've tightened up on people who have children over here. i'd like to think they'll apply it consistently but I'd guess if it's someone who is on benefits they'll probably get to stay whereas a sportsman is an easy target and won't be allowed to remain. Incidentally, I believe chase's current visa runs out before his contract with cas so will be interesting to see if they will extend that

If so then we've done the right thing. Chase is quality, but we can't afford to have all our eggs in one basket. I'll be happy with Holdsworth and look forward to see who the club have playing with him.
