Quote: Mrs Barista "Plus they never sent the vouchers out for the £5 discount in the shop which was a listed benefit. Which expires on 30th Sept. Another retail and admin triumph. At least it avoids giving £25,000 away
TBF Mrs B some of the terms stated in the brochure have changed anyway like the clause where you have to have paid in full for your 2010 pass by 30/9/09 to get the 2011 pass at 2008 price, so the £5 discount voucher peroid may have been extended.

There is no doubt it has been cobbled together very quickly and probably for the reasons most of us think. I've seen how both clubs operate and Hull are light years ahead in the way they conduct their business, but the scheme does have some merit imo, its just that it has been administered by a bunch of numpties.

Quote: Gordon Gekko "The only fact out there is the 5000+ membership. On field performances will ultimately dictate the real success of the scheme.
Poor from you, Gordon. I know you're not thick so can only assume you are being deliberately obtuse. There are plenty of unsavoury facts about this scheme as well you know. Another fact being that on-field performances are irrelevant, as folk have already parted with their money for their membership and their passes and next season is 5 months away.

If they can limp through the closed season.

Question, if the money for the scheme and the passes has already been gathered in, how strong is next year's cash flow going to be? Will Rovers need credit?

They're not daft. Plenty of sound business men on Rover's board.

Missed the point again.

On field performances are very relevant. If they have a season like say Hull have had this year pass sales for 2011 will likely suffer, whereas if they have a decent season all this nonsense and bad feeling you talk about will likely be forgotten. Success on the field will ultimately dictate how successful the membership scheme eventually is.

The rest of your questions involve a lot of guesswork and in your case probably hopes and aspirations icon_lol.gif

Do you think Rovers fans are more fickle than Hulls? Despite a shocking season last year our pass sales held up as they are expected to this year.
On field performances not a factor for us.

I do accept that thousands of new Rovers fans have joined on for the glory, however, their pass sales won't be increased by this scheme. People would have bought passes anyway, with or without the membership club. It's just that Rovers would not have had the extra £60 off them all upfront.

Or are you saying that this scheme has meant more new fans? Not sure how you can factually prove that

As a lying, boring airhead, I would be grateful, as you seem to know me so well, if you could inform me why I am disgruntled and to what I hope and aspire?

Quote: Big Dave T "Guess what my point missed was that by not joining the scheme they may lose an existing benefit like your existing seat.

To use the car insurance analagy again, if i had previously bought car insurance with company x and it came with free breakdown cover, and they then said you are only going to keep the free breakdown cover in future when you renew by being a member of our additional scheme i'd find that a bit difficult to swallow. From a customer loyalty perspective i'd probably go elsewhere.'"

I have joined the scheme but do understand that in these times some people will be upset at having to pay 60 quid up front in a short space of time. However one of the reasons for joining is that it freezes the cost of next seasons seasons pass to 2008 Prices which is 179 pounds , to me good value and you get discounts in the club shop thus saving more money.

Quote: t.m.t.b.f. "Its a scam and if anyones signed upto it they have either got too much money or are thicker than an 150 year old oak tree.

Paying 60 quid just to have a flimsy card in your ar5e pocket to get a 10er off a shirt, discounted derby ticket, 20p off a big mac or whatever.

Whatever next? these clubs get a fair chunk of salary cash thrown at them already from sky, if these people want to be the big i am at runnin sports clubs and claim ownership then they should stump up the cash themselves otherwise you may as well let any old soul run it.

As for hull taking up the scheme, well in my eyes id like to consider myself already a loyal fan after the crap ive had to put up with on the pitch served up by shocking so called personnel describing themselves as super league players and coaches these past 3 years. I have a RESERVED seat since day one in the KC and i would be extremely miffed if that was taken from me because of some jumped up money makin scheme that gives no real benefits to an already loyal suppoter of 36 years.'"

If you trump up 60 quid your season pass for next season and 2011 is frozen at 2008 prices 179 quid otherwise I believe its 215 quid you have to pay. Plus you get discounts on the season shirt 10 pounds if only buying one which most supporters buy. So if you start to do the math then you can see you will start to get your 60 quid back quickly.

You have realised that they've put your pass up by 25% for the next 2 years haven't you? What pay rise did you get this year? They're taking more money off you, not giving it back

I buy the shirts though and spend money in the shop for me and my daughter so we are going to get a certain percentage of that 60 quid back. My season pass is frozen at that price and I pay my money to get into the KC stadium at over inflated prices for the west stand upper. I joined early so I now don't get ripped off having to pay 23 quid to get into the KC as I'm guaranteed tickets to get into the North stand. It's entirely upto you if you wanted to join if someone say joined the scheme and sat in your seat for next season would you be miffed about it ?

£23 is good value for the KC a quality stadium,The £17 our supporters pay to get into your dump is the rip off ,when its normally £10 ,hence why i dont go and never will unless they get a desent stand near the pich and charge us the same as every other SL club
