Quote: Mrs Barista "You said the gap in quality wasn't a factor in tonight's result. My opinion is that the quality of personnel in the club and available tonight isn't good enough to match Warrington's. It's not making excuses or ignoring anything. Those are brutal facts. What the team available brought to the table was not acceptable either, clearly.'"

Ok look. On paper Warrington had the better team. All things being equal they would have been expected to win the game. But the respective quality of the two teams becomes irrelevant when the attitude is as poor as that. Maybe a lesser team would have only beaten us by 40? So what? The real issue is that we weren't interested. I can't imagine that effort would have beaten half of the teams in the championship. Ability doesn't matter if you aren't going to make any attempt to apply yourself.

Exactly how London have won some games , good attitude , intensity, and wanting to win . On paper they wouldn’t win a game all season

Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "If we had played to somewhere near our ability and ended up losing then you could point to a gulf in quality. The fact is that from minute one we looked like the last place we wanted to be was on that field. Right from Warrington's very first set we looked lazy and lacking in aggression. They could have sent the reserves and it wouldn't have mattered, they would have still battered us. Our attitude was abysmal, and pointing to things like spending power is just making excuses and ignoring what the real issues were/are.'"

Hull really didn’t look right tonight. Wire were excellent and would have put almost any SL team to the sword, but Hull were strangely passive. I don’t know if it was low energy or moral, but it looked like most of them were just going through the motions.

It can happen every once in a while, but that was a striking example.

If Wires massive spending power was the difference tonight, what was the difference in the last home game against Wakey?

Enough of the excuses, we had a season full of them last year

When you were good, I’d put it down to struggling to maintain the high intensity you played with week in, week out. And those looked a bit more like a fatigued team trying their best. Tonight looked more careless or disengaged.

How they react for your fixture with Salford will be interesting.

Well done for your prediction- I went for a Hull win. Upside for me is that I love these meetings and Warrington have been my second favourite team since I first saw them at the Boulevard back in 47/48. We were outclassed that day too!

You could see from the off they wanted it over with, strange performance from hull all round. I thought after last years drubbing there would have been a lot of fight.

147 point for wire in last 2 games against hull must be some kind of record

We play them at their place in seven weeks. Massive improvement from us required to avoid another drubbing.

We need to focus on avoiding the drop and hoping for an easy cup draw for once! icon_biggrin.gif

Quote: Irregular Hoops "It’s certainly been a couple of record breaking years!

Wire may have money, but we’re in a salary cap sport. We shouldn’t be having record defeats inflicted on us.
It’s not Man City versus Crawley Town.

I find it a bit galling blaming the injuries again. Wasn’t our failed recruitment/ retention policy based on not having these problems again?

I’d say I’m fed up of hearing it, but I’m past caring now.'"

At least it was an improvement on last years 80-10,scored more and conceeded less.

I like the analogy though. Sacking Radford with no obvious successor or increased funds could be setting people up for No Dealesque carnage. icon_biggrin.gif

Well the only positive thing I can think of for last night is that I watched a good team play really well and it shows what a top signing can do with the ball. (austin)

Unfortunetly it wasn't my team but well played Warrington.
