A tad unfair that. It could be due to the weather warming up and the grounds being a lot firmer, which suits our play better and nothing else.

or it could be because Galea is lazy and past it?

I certainly dont think Galea is lazy, works hard for the team, but I agree he does seem to be past it and looks too slow, in attack and sometimes in defence.

OK, maybe saying he's lazy is unfair, but he is certainly not at anywhere near 85% of his game, but he isn't alone, we're carrying a few too many "expereienced" players in my opinion.

| Just re-watched the trys, first try was forward, dont care what the ref says.
2nd try was excellent and hard to stop.
Charnley looked Ok from the view, Briscoe should have done better though.
4th try was a poor tackle from Heremia.

agree with that, also the second penalty they were given to go 28-10 up looked dubious in two ways, one from a forward pass and couldnt really tell if pitts pulled the ball out

First try mile forward. And no way did Charnley get the ball down for their 3rd, watched the try frame by frame and Briscoe does excellent to get under the ball. Herehttps://pbs.twimg.com/media/BJCRboxCIAEp9Kp.jpg" >

I'd say the first penalty was more dubious. Holding down?! That was no different to what had been going on all game. Think those two penalties really dampened the end if the game which was disappointing as it was great entertainment.
First try wasn't only forward, it was offside he was that far in front! But he definitely didn't ground short though as some people vigorously claimed!

i wonder if it was the other way round, would fc have been awarded those penalties? judging by the way the match was played, no! as someone posted on this topic, they were penalties top 4 teams always seem to get and others miss out on

Helped along by the whispers of Tomkins, Lockers and Green, no doubt.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

I'm hoping Ellis gets in the refs ear a bit, I remember in pre season he really wasn't standing for all the holding down in the tackle and certainly made his views known to the ref
as for the penalties only the top 4 get, that knock on by Tomppppkins that won them an offside penalty was almost laughable

I disagree. I'm not saying it's necessarily been the cause of our upturn in form, but it's hard not to see that we have improved whilst he's been out and the 2nd rowers have all been performing well. IMO this should make it difficult for him to get back in. Early in the season he was consistently our worst performer in the pack at least, if not the full side on several occasions (he was probably the best of a bad bunch in the derby, however).

I was one of those who thought he was initially short and that it was possibly a double movement. I've still not seen it personally yet, but have been told that he did indeed hit the ground short on the first attempt, but momentum took him over, no double movement.
