Well Leeds are interested in re-signing him but we did and they didn't charge a fee? Also Hull thanked Leeds for letting them talk to Pitts (not normal dialouge between the 2 clubs) ?
Dont misunderstand I'm not unhappy with the signing just seems strange to me!!

Leeds have just re-signed Peacock for two years. He is their captain and is a shoe in for a starting spot.
Leeds also have Leuluai, Bailey (irrespective of what you think of him, he is Leeds through and through and is there for his career), Daryl Griffin (who has played for England) and Richard Moore.
Despite this competition for places against more experianced players, Pitts has featured in over half of the regular season games for Leeds over the last 3 years.
Is Pitts the same as O'Meley or Moa? Not yet. Its rumoured that one or both of Moa and O'Meley may not be here next season, so this could be seen as good succession planning by having Pitts learning from O'Meley and Lynch, getting to grips with set plays in advance of next season.
As has been mentioned, he could be the next Carvell.'"
It's a realistic view. If we are to replace either a former SOO and australian international or our best impact prop with someone who is relatively inexperienced and who has primarilly been seen as a back rower then it will inevitibly weaken us. It's only good succession planning if he turns out to be of decent quality. If he doesn't then it's poor succession planning.
As you say, he could be the next gareth carvell, but then again, richard agar could have been the next wayne bennett

| Ogre is average? Wovers fans telling us what's good for us? JTP being a pessimist?
Only on RLFans
I actually think that we will replace Moa/Ogre with an overeas prop, we will have 2 quota spots free if one of them goes and I can't see us using it anywhere else, unless; a)Arundel rumour doesn't materialise b)McKinnon/Heremaia/Seymour head back home/are released or c)We replace Horney.

No, he's more likely to have been the next Lennie Bennett.

| Was talking to Pittsy on Sunday and he is well chuffed to have signed for us. The lad is really buzzing and looking forward to getting some game time.
He reckons Peter Gentle has got something good going and is VERY impressed by the whole team ethic and the morale in the club. He was looking forward to starting training on Monday and I wasted no time in telling him that supporters would crawl over broken galss for a derby win - he laughed and said that's what he expected and would be going for it.

Four and a half, actually.
I agree with you though, a win over Leeds would be better than a derby win. I don't care about "bragging rights".
