We're kind of like in pre season mode at present gearing up for the muddle 8's...As a team who have been rock bottom all year and taken hiding after hiding, I'd just be interested to see how you Hull fans think we will go in that?
You've seen us twice in a week now....we've struggled most of the season missing key players but the way we are building we could have a healthy squad when the Middle 8's start....Locke at full back....Godinet and Tim Smith at halves....our best three props Scruton, Anderson and Simon...and our skipper Kirmond along with Washy and Annakin as backrowers to add to what we had on the park today...
Wishing you all best for rest of the season!'"
the two games we played against each other its hard to judge how you will go, mainly because of our short turnarounds between games
going by the catalan away game viewing, shouldnt see any reason why you wont be in the SL next year with the additional signings you have made

How many goal attempts did Sneyd miss? 4 or 5?
Hard angles I know but kick a couple then maybe we wouldn't have panicke'"
Been disappointed by Sneyds goalkicking particularly when wide out seems to miss a lot.
There are several far better goal kickers in super league than Sneyd

| For major parts of the 80 minutes Ellis carried us , he is an absolout monster !! Thought feka deserve a big shout out , he seems to lift the crowd with his desire and will to run into a brick wall at 100 mile an hour , also Logan didn't do his chances any harm he's still got a lot learn obviously but very optimistic about his future !!!
Individual errors would have seen us loose against every other team in sl today but a win is a win and 2 points all that matters ateotd !!! Hopefully built a bit of confidence and roll on Cas next Sunday !!! Coyh

Agree, certainly out of form, has proved he can kick goals at Cas last season, I'm sure it his form will come back.

| Quote: Dave K. "Just needed a win, looked really low on confidence, but we were really dominant an made numerous breaks, while I don't remember them making one (Johnston made a couple from kicks, need to keep an eye on him, looks a raw talent) and the forwards made lots of yards.
Dumb play and poor handling let us down, but at times we played some good rugby and scored some excellent trys.
You had to be there to see how good Ellis was, dropped the first ball and looked injured, but after that ran so hard, set up two trys and great defence, think he played the full 80.
Thought Sneyd made a big difference, make a couple of mistakes, but caused problems with his running, passing and short kicking game, needs to improve his goal kicking though.
Logan had a great game as did Michaels (Who I have been critical of, but is happily proving me wrong, too great finishes today).
Houghton and Pryce ran really well, if only we backed up Pryce.
If we had more confidence and cut out the silly errors we won have won easily.
Credit to Wakey though, look a total different team under Smith, Miller caused us a few problems today.'"
Dave ive actually seen Johnston play a couple of times.he is only young but in a couple of years will be the real deal of a winger with real pace to go with it.
Would love Brian Smith back here.it just shows what a real coach can do in a short period.Powell is the same.
Regretfully our coach is so limited in ability, very lucky to be in a job and would have been sacked weeks ago by any other club chairman

Indeed - Sneyd played really well except for his goal kicking. That's what you meant isn't it ?
Pryce is struggling physically there's no doubt about that.

| We tried our best to give Wakefield a chance with early individual errors giving them a foothold in the game. We scored some outstanding tries with some superb rugby league that if it was other teams playing it would be lauded. Nice to see Jack Logan playing confidently and taking his tries well. His break for when Ellis was held up was outstanding as well. Should have won by more but never do - credit to Wakey their two second half tries were very good.

| Thought we were pretty average overall. ellis was immense and logan had a good game with sneyd showing some good touches. If we ever found an attacking threat we'd be great but as it is we spend plenty of time in good attacking positions but still struggle to score. We looked worryingly easy to score against today too.
Can't see anything but 3 losses between now and the split

| Loads of effort and commitment today, team spirit seemed fine, no negative body language but still far too many basic handling errors. Our defence was also disappointing as I thought we would have been able to handle their attacking threat much better than we did. Still I'll take the two points.
