Had an email confirming that as soon as a form for a DD pass is processed that pass will be included in the challenge 10K draws not after payments are made. Which is nice.

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else had given it any thought.

Wonder if the prize will be deferred if the person is paying by DD, nothing to stop them cancelling their instalments after receiving the prize, just a thought.

When you go to the KC to get a pass you take your University Card, as long as the card says full-time student jobs a good 'un.

The prizes aren't applicable until next season, i.e. VIP seats or a box at the first game, trip to Catalans with the squad and so on. There is one prize of a day at pre-season training but I guess that could be the week before the first game - after the final direct debit payments in late January.

Being a science student, you are also misinformed as to how non-science subjects get funded, or not as is usually the case. Think yourself lucky if you have funding, most studying PhDs (plural not possessive, so no apostrophe) in the arts and social sciences have to pay their own fees, and work a hell of a lot just to do that.

As for there not being much call for a PhD in philospohy, you would be surprised. Arts etc. show more versatility than sciences, which are more vocational. For example, English can be taken into almost all vocations, as it is multidisciplinary.

So you can be cocky in your funded ivory nanostructered tower, but as for the rest of us who do need a cheaper season pass because we're skint, at least we can spell.

Actually one of the most widely applicable degrees is Physics. You'd be surprised at some of the careers that take Physics graduates due to the broad range of skills developed.
