| Quote: Mrs Barista "What's the score with our pack? We have Taylor, Jones, Satae, Ellis, Savelio missing from our starting 17. Are they all injured?'"
I've not heard a timescale on Taylor's injury. The club said this week "Scott Taylor (back) and Masi Matongo (shoulder) continue their recovery from their respective injuries, with the latter now just two to three weeks away from full-fitness" which would suggest that Taylor is more than three weeks.
No idea on Jones and Savelio. They are "unavailable at this time" whatever that means. Covid related?
Ellis was rested for last night's game which is crazy given the number missing. Surely he can play two weeks in a row? It would have made much more sense for him to play last night as a pack leader then sit out Thursday's game against Wakefield and return for the Cas cup game on the Sunday.
That short turnaround next week already looks daunting given our form and the players out.

| What’s the craic with Shauls hair ? If it’s a fine then he must be getting fined every week ! ill discipline at training probably shows bad attitude is the point I’m making, if he wants to bleach his hair he can.
The commentators said something about Connor giving someone a mouthful and said it was unwarranted and unprofessional, I genuinely think he thinks he’s better than he is.
Agree about Swift, my granny would have been more use !
Thought Kelly was ok but behind a beaten pack couldn’t do much.
After Thursdays matches wished we’d kept Litten and Hadley, Litten was outstanding.
And finally, FWIW I think Last will be the coach next season

| Quote: hesslefan "The best team won.
BUT
Kelly and Connor did not take control. If that was an audition for Connor - and overall I think he is an exceptional player - being a leader on the pitch he failed.
There were a number of mystifying decisions by Thaler. Warrington simply should not have been in possession for their first two tries. Fonua offloaded the ball and I think Warrington knocked on twice but he gave a knock on against Hull. When Johnstone tackled his namesake the commentary team could not understand why a penalty was given. When a pass to Lane was given as forward - well on that basis Wigan will never have a pass allowed again. Ratchford should have been sin binned for interference at the play the ball. All of those were early in the game and allowed Warrington to get momentum. After that every offload etc seemed to stick
Later he awarded a try to Warrington but went to the video ref who overruled him but he still gave them possession from a Hull knock on. Similarly to suggest that Warrington were only offside in about the 75th minute of the game when he had already penalised Hull twice is just ridiculous. Having watched a lot of Australian games during lockdown I like the six again rule but I think with our referees it is just a lottery and do not understand the basis for a lot of the decisions.
Even though Warrington were disrupted by the coronavirus problems they are clearly a more settled club and a team who know what each other are doing. Given player changes last year and a change of coach and the recent issues regarding the pandemic we have a long way to go.'"
The best team won but didn't deserve any of the tries they scored and were kept in the game by a biased referee. Thanks for explaining.

Agree with this.
Our refs are still useless.

| Major changes and improvements needed at our club. If Pearson doesn’t have the money it will be difficult, so tough times ahead. We need a new coach with new ideas. Nothing against Andy Last but he worked under Radford for a long time, so it’s same old same old. Our second string simply are not big enough, good enough and/or are not being coached well enough. Wire had a weak team out last night but still looked a far better all round side than us. The club can issue all the excuses it wants (all teams are in the same boat at the minute) but most of us can see we are a badly coached team with a lot of average players, including some of our so called star players. I think us, the supporters, deserve better.

Good post SB, a lot has been said in last nights match regarding players missing, the outcome of the game was a front row with Fash Brown and Johnstone, was always going to struggle against Cooper, Clarke and the other fresh NRL player they introduced, men against boys really. Rachie and Curry behind them, no surprises for me. We didn’t capitulate as we recently have, and on this occasion, although outplayed, the effort was for the full game.

| I didn’t understand Josh going to full back, Buchanan perhaps or even Connor with Carlos going in the halves, very strange bench last night, wingers etc, maybe lack of bodies.

| As I Warrington fan I strongly agree with the posters who have said to get Tony Smith in charge, he turned Warrington into contenders and although he never got us over the line we are now challenging for honours consistently . Hull are a sleeping giant in this game they have everything in place, stadium, support, you’ve even improved your squad to one that could challenge with the right coach. Smith for me would come in and sort out the deadwood and any players who don’t have the right attitude. His style of play is exciting, defence tough your fans would love it I hope you do get him in as the game needs a strong and challenging hull side.

| Quote: Tarquin Fuego "I wanted to start a thread for this one
Please move Swift to York
He’s not a SL winger. Never ever.
Taking Lineham on 7 mins into the game after the charge down and going out side of him and guess what
Into touch and they score off that next possession
Running the ball back and his head is way too high and makes nil metres as too easily pushed back
Knock on off Shaul and blames Shaul
Misses 2 tackles for tries to Mamo
He made the same error per CoVid in getting bundled into touch taking the outside
He’s NOT GOOD ENOUGH'"
Only thing he did well was to bring the player back over the tryline for a goal line drop out.

I thought the opposite, especially when i saw Pearsons face during the second half. I reckon for him to be given the job he will have to turn things around massively between now and the end of the season.
