Quote: Dave K. "I'm sorry but whatever you think of Agar and the coaching staff they will be practising these things.

In fact I know they do
But my point is that they're obviously doing something wrong as it's not getting across to the players in question.

Would you not agree that neither Hall nor Briscoe have shown any improvement in their defensive decision-making and positional play over the last 2 years? That really should not be the case.

Quote: Kosh "Agar's just been on Blunderside and said he played 67 minutes and could probably have managed 77 if needed. Tremendous signing.'"

Absolutely boiling and couldn't believe it - came off for Sam on about 25 minutes then seemingly 5 minutes later came back on for Dowes. I've got used to seeing him come back on on 55 minutes and rip into the opposition so felt a bit cheated icon_lol.gif

Oh, and a big rap to the FC away support today. Massive following icon_thumb.gif

Quote: Kosh "In that case there are only two possible conclusions...

1. We're doing the wrong drills.
2. Hall and Briscoe are as stupid as stumps.'"

Precisely. I just don't accept that they can't learn anything no matter what the coaching staff have tried. The only other possibility is that they won't listen, in which case they should be moved on.

It may be that with no game next week he played longer than might otherwise have been the case.

Frustrating to concede late tries again but it's a fine win and given the conditions I don't think we can be too hard on the team for the lapses.

Our first back to back away wins in just over a year.

I was once again impressed by how together the team felt, always congratulating, consoling and backing each other up, it was great to see today

shame we conceded the last two tries, gave a closer scoreline than the game was, but in that heat we can hardly complain and both teams deserve a lot of credit

we need to keep better ball control, maybe it was the heat at times, teams like saints will punish us more if we cough up possession in our own half like today

Quote: Kosh "Did the same again today according to Blunderside with the same result.

TBF I think he suffers the same as whoever plays on the other wing with our sliding defence not sliding properly.'"

Rubbish, Cas had about 4 on 1 and he went to try and pat it down but missed, if he had stayed on his wing it wouldn't have made any difference.

Good result, not a great performance, but in that heat, they are all warriors and deserve priase. Didn't think Briscoe was that bad, but would have to re watch to see.
Hall put a monster tackle in near the close to seal it!

So what I said in the second part of my post then?

Assuming we're talking about the same incident, both Blunderside and KCFM had it down as a defensive misread. Just goes to show how things appear different to different people.

Considering the weather I think both sets of players deserve credit. It was hot just watching the game. The players must have been knackered towards the end.No wonder we stuttered a bit when Dowes went off.
