Putting into context though, he coached Titans in their first few years in the NRL. Don’t think a 46% win ratio is dreadful when you think how they struggled as new franchise for a long while. Also has experience building a new club, which is something we really need.
Took titans to the play offs a few times and has been assistant coach at a club who won GF and then at broncos now who are making finals

| Cartwright did a good job with Titans albeit 10 years ago now. Believe he was linked with the NSW job recently so must still be held in high regard.

Do we really think he's that interested?
It don't appear many others are either.
Maybe Mylers still working in way through that 20 odd list of prospective candidates.

| Don't think it's much of a problem that he hasn't coached for 10 years. In that 10 years he's gone on to be assistant coach at a grand final winning team and currently at another team who have featured in a grand final. He will have learned an awful lot, and likely grown a hunger and desire for giving head coaching another shot.
Wouldn't be disappointed if he get him at all.

It goes against everything they’ve been saying, looking at young English coaches. Cartwright is older than the coach we’ve just got rid of.

So what? What’s most important is they’re the right man. Couldn’t care less what his age or nationality is.

FWIW, although not been a head coach for some time, he appears to be well respected over in Oz, and is currently a part of one of the best systems in the game in Brisbane, with that comes new connections over in a market we have recent been very poor in, we shall see what happens.

I’m not saying I care about that either, but the club and or Myler have been saying otherwise.
Right man for the job will have to be proved like with any coaching appointment.

| Wouldn't complain at Cartwright head coach and him bringing along Briers as his assistant.

| Can't see anyone better than Cartwright, vastly experienced as a head coach (the most successful coch the Titans have had).
Three assistant jobs at top clubs, winning the GF with one and other gone from bottom to 2nd.
Not sure what people want.
People wanted Briers who had never been a first team coach, neither had Peters.
Hope this happens.
