| Quote threepennystander="threepennystander"Really happy with recruitment although [ustill not convinced radders is the man to take us to next level[/u. Would feel a lot happier if he had a experienced coach as his assistant. [uEven james webster would be a positive move.[/ustill really concerned about hooker.if Houghton remains injury free washy prob could do a job but if your aiming for top 4/5 doing a job is not good enough.would of liked to see ian henderson from cats here.there must be a championship hooker worth a punt.at a loss with the whole cunningham senirio. Pita godinet from wakefield would be a fantastic signing.looked class in 4 nations for samoa and can cover half back.worried all fans have said about need for hooker yet coach just doesn't see it
'"
first bold point, radders isn't the right man to take us for or "to next level"
second bold point, id not be happy at all if we replaced radders with Webster
would much rather have an established coach, who knows what he is doing and how to play the game

| Quote handbrake="handbrake"Westerman must surely be going.
Looking at those arriving from NRL there is no way we are anywhere near balancing the salary cap on current departures. Lower paid players going won't do it, would need to be a higher earner.
Given numer of back rows we now have, Radford's (correct) attempts to professionalise the club and that we could get a fee this year, Westerman going makes sense.'"
Well we obviously don't know what players are actually being paid plus there is the marquee player ruling which will take at least one player off the cap so it's possible that we are actually balancing the cap. That said we do seem overloaded in the back row now so I can't help but feel there will be departures there.

He was saying bring in Webster as his assistant, not his replacement.

Marquee player will still cost £175k on the salary cap.

My mistake. Just read up on that £175K if non-club trained. £100K if club trained.

| Does anyone know any players who are retiring at the end of this season who they would like to see at our club in some sort of role either on coaching side or rugby management.Although I am happy with recruitment ( Barring hooker ) I do feel the best bit of recruitment in this city for 2016 is rovers getting peacock. This question is for additional staff to aid radford/club not replace as this will end in another radford out debate and he will be the man in charge next year.Alot of hull fans saying no way rovers will beat our recruitment but I can see the likes of j.p having a big influence on signings and them pulling a few rabbits out of the hat again like previous years eg green, burns, campese and kelky

| Quote Airlie15="Airlie15"Don't blame Naughton for not signing as he will just get used and deserves a FT spot in the team. He won't get that with LR and I think he knows that. Can't see him much longer at the club. He's just been wasted'"
Right.

| If Houghton signs for Leeds then I can see him getting picked for England on a regular basis in future
I would hate to see him go.
