Unbelievable defence

We recovered and scrambled well from the poor start we made but are soaking up far too much defensively. Need to smarten up and cut out the errors and cut out the missed and droping off tackles. Our last plays have been poor too.

Houghton looks like he’s flagging already and can’t understand why we yet again seem to want to run his tank empty by over using him.

Defence good, shame that on that last set none of Hoy, Clifford or Trueman had a decent last set play and it was just Griffin grubbering through too hard

Unbelievably we can actually still win this.
Hopefully we get our fair share of the ball in the 2nd half to stop us tiring too much. Cut out the errors and the penalties and we can do it!

Done well to be only 6 points down given how much ball they've had.
It's going to bite us later though unless we can get a good share of the ball.
It certainly has the feeling of a game we're surviving atm rather than competing.

Love how people are so quick to bag McIntosh because he bottled the catch but aren’t going to acknowledge apart from that he’s had a very solid game.

No one calling cator for a poor pullback pass that resulted in a try. Or swift not competing kick for first try (Not that I’m saying people should)

Steadied the ship temporarily after that early bombardment but as others have said the amount of defending we've had to do will come back to hurt us. Stats in the first half not reflected in the scoreline. Great effort, shame about that first try too. 3 set restarts for them, none for us #standard

What has Kendal got against hull fc. Granted the decision on field was given as no try but you could see the ball hit the line on the replay. The ref guessing a decision on field before handing over still needs to be got rid of.
