I get what you're driving at but I think we all know if Houghton starts then he is likely to play the 80 based on all the evidence we've seen during BH tenure as Coach which is just crazy. With Gale and McNamara being back and the loans brought in it was an opportunity to start Lovodua at 9 with Balmforth on the bench. Our line speed and ptb is so slow and distribution is terrible and a change at 9 for 2 players that are more dynamic would certainly help improve this area. Houghton has been a great servant but after 20-25 mins he is sadly just not effective on the field anymore be it in attack or defence. Like I say I don't think BH has helped matters by flogging him week in week out but he just doesn't look to have the desire anymore.
