Hope not but this looking like a pivotal game in the season, next week is massive in terms of response. Any news on Connor, Carlos, Sao?'"
Jake is medial ligament damage worst case scenario is up to 8 weeks I think

If true, then that's our season done, unless Hodgson can find some creativity at 1, 6 or 7.

Hookem needs to be given a chance now ,guess shaul is the best option at full back . Bit of a toss up between gale and Reynolds I'd probably give gale the nod ,his experience could help hookem. Also time to start joey at 9

Is it worth rolling the dice with Litten?

| I would go with Shaul. Be a fast track and even though IMO he's lost a yard of pace he's still nippy. Hopefully Sao Tuime Vuni back. Halfback gonna be the main call. Do we go with Gale lovaduo? Or Hookem?

We're not winning anything this year so I'd gladly see us lose a couple of games if it meant we gave Litten and Hookem a chance to see what they can both do. Could save us some money and transfer hassle going into next year if they look up to it.

| Not sure if the club see Hookem as a 9 now.
That's the position he's been playing for Whitehaven

If it's last couple of games can see it. But until it's mathematically not possible to win the GF we play our best team. I would never see us gladly lose a few games never. We play our best team and give it our best shot. Trouble with us ATM we are inconsistent and in fairness sort of one or two top class players. But I still believe we put our best team out we can on any given day beat most teams.

its not the first time this season Gale has let us down with drop goal attempts
He is just not the player we saw at Cas where he had a great short kicking game.and nailed drop goals.
We have seen nothing like this from him

Five penalties given away today on the first tackle in the opposition 10 relieving all the pressure and giving them a leg up field.
Fans think we are unfit yet the amount of unnecessary extra defence we put on ourselves from penalties, errors and six agains is the reason not the fitness.
One thing is now certain Gale and Reynolds both need replacing.
Hodgsons signings so he needs to accept the responsibilty and we dont need to know how good Gale is around the club.Get rid and leave him to his TV appearances with channel 4.'"
In regards to the penalties I seriously question the performance of Griffiths in the way he officiated. Our first try was a mile forward yet he awarded it and then seemed to spend the rest of the game making up for that error. The 6 agains I fail to see how Wakefield were doing anything differently to us to give so few away in comparison. He let Wakefield get away with 2 knocks before finally giving the decision on the 3rd one
The game should have been over at halftime but in true Hull FC style at Wakefield we tend to find a way to lose. Once Connor went off any threat from our halves evaporated.
Not sure why Mau was brought off unless it was he’d picked up an injury.
Serious questions now need to asked about Gales future at the club as when needed he failed to be the guiding hand to control things in the second half. Epitomised by the poor set up and execution of the drop goal attempts after great work to get in range.

Have you watched Trueman?
He's the standout in a poor Cas team, go check his try and assists record. Would bring alot to our team definitely. He's playing behind a poor pack and still producing

| We need creativity with ball in hand, Reynolds isn't producing it. Put Lovodua back there. We're also lacking direction and quality kicking from 7, question is where do we find that from?
I think Hodgson has to make a call on Gale, its once again another game he's simply not done what he was brought in to do. Do we try Hookem there as its the teams biggest problem when looking for a solution.
I think we tidied up the penalties lately with some good solid home wins, unfortunately it reared its ugly head again today, hopefully Sao, and Carlos are back as I'm still not sold on Scott and Wynne who sounded very ropey today.

I think that’s unfair to say that Scott & Wynne sounded ropey as they were both pretty solid. Thought Scott played well considering he’s been out a while, Wynne was a menace at centre and stood in at FB after being moved there when Connor went off.
The kicking from both Reynolds and Gale was poor in particular Gales. We do not seem to possess any grubber kicking ability or use it as an option to turn the opposition and maintain pressure.
We could probably give Gale & Reynolds until Xmas but sadly wouldn’t see much improvement. If we are to seriously push from here we need to replace both of them for next season. We also have to stop flogging Houghton for 80 mins every week as it’s a bigger minus than a plus doing it. As good as Lovodua has been personally thought today wasn’t one of his best games. We h
