No comment on the post after yours where someone else isnt happy about Ward?
We never go after the big coach despite every fan from every other club seeing that its coaching that lets us down. Its either an untried assistant or a young manager with potential.
Ward might of got London into SL but he also got em relegated straight away too
So yeah a bit underwhelming imo

| If we are after Powell, will we get that little scruffy chap who accompanies him as well.

Ryan Sheridan has already turned us down once as a player!

Lol,
Seriously if the Sky talk is true, and we are close to employing a new man, I just feel DP would be the right choice, with respect to Cas fans, I think he has taken them as far as he can, he’s done an amazing job at Cas, whilst not able to capture that elusive silverware, that hunger will still be there.
Wane & Mcdermott have done it all, Ward is probably at a similar level Powell was when he coached Leeds, and Watson is probably tagged for Wigan.
Not ruling out any antipodean interest, but at present with travel and financial reasons it’s probably not realistic.
DP at present is a right moaning xxx like a bear with a sore head, it’s time for a change, and once again with respect to Cas, we would probably suit each other, he would hopefully have more resources, and I feel if he could replicate that unity he has created at Cas. He could take us forward to silverware.
All opinions of course, and if we stick with AL or bring back Radders they’d have my support.

| If we employ Ward, will the club start selling Fred Perry polo shirts in the club shop?

| Think the current economic climate means we’ll have to be realistic in our targets.
Like stated previously, it will be good just to have some fresh ideas in the club.

| I can pretty much guarantee that it wont be Powell.
AP and JC were behind him at The Jungle when we beat them, and you could see AP laughing after every try we scored as they think it was winding Powell up and contributing to his mood!

Who do you think it’s most likely to be?

I don't know to be fair. Names like Wane etc. are too far fetched, he isn't going to give up the England gig without taking charge of a game!
I know that Andy Last doesn't want it, and heard he wants to head up the youth set-up again, so not sure if that will happen or not.

Who does?
Which "big coach" do you have in mind? I'm assuming you mean an experienced, successful first grade NRL coach.

I guess its Ok to say you dont want the job when you know you are not going to get it anyway.
Its not always the case that the interim coach will retain his job if and when a new coach comes in,and bear in mind we have Purtill already here and Gaz Ellis no doubt will be added to the coaching staff so maybe Last is trying to ensure he has a job by making it known he would like to work with the youth again.

Don't worry it won't be Watson, can't believe some still keep mentioning him.

If you are underwhelmed by Watson, I think you need to prepare yourself for disappointment.
