Depends when and where, a lot of ours seem to be in our own half and early in the tackle, like Jake says 48 play of the balls is the key stat

I'd like a copy of the new set of rules Hicks was playing to, it wasn't RL all too often. The Leeds Dan's were as gracious in victory as ever (ie.Not at all) unless we get an unbiased referee I think the RFL (aka Mr Hetherington) will have London hotels booked.'"

实事求是!: |
|
| Quote: Sheephead "Which one? The Fonua disallowed try you can clear see Walkers hands all over the ball trying the strip it rather then cover, the out come of that was a 20 metre restart meaning they judge Fonua had lost the ball over the line.
I don't need OJs lawyers for that one but again on Sky that's a different outcome and maybe a game changer.
Not excusing the team tho the 3 weeks now with poor completion rate not good enough for the top 4 but on the other hand we haven't had a 50/50 call in 3 weeks'"
You can see walkers hands trying to clasp the ball to prevent it being grounded. The probability is that fonua tried to rip his hand free from the fullbacks grasp to ground the ball and in the conditions the ball squirmed out.
Black and white specs will say it was ripped, blue and Amber will say it was lost.
This happens a lot in open play, when the ball carrying arm is smothered by the defender and in trying to get the arm free to offload the ball squirms out. The ref will nearly always give a knock on, unless there is a specific batting or ripping motion from the defender.
One of those things I'm afraid, I'm sure you'll get return serve in the semi.

But then parcels try in the first half would have been given. You're letting yourself down with these conspiracy theories.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| Quote: Dave K. "Depends when and where, a lot of ours seem to be in our own half and early in the tackle, like Jake says 48 play of the balls is the key stat'" I know, but an error is an error no matter where/when it happens and Leeds were not much better handling the conditions than we were.

Totally different. Parcell clearly knocks on trying to score which was clearly seen by the officials. The only person who deemed to see the knock on from fonau was the in goal touch judge who had the worst view out of all officials. Second time this season Leeds get away with a win from dodgy calls isn't it? The American football style pass burrow took v Salford spring to mind.

Ffs we are making ourselves look daft and bitter complaining about the officials.
Numerous times this season we have had decisions go our way, unfortunately it happens.
This tit for tat blaming is ridiculous.
We lost due to our own inadequacies end of. Same as Cas and Saints.
Same dumb errors same ineffective attack, we are our own worst enemies.
No more conspiracy theories please it's cringeworthy to read.

The sad this is its true.... but if we had got some 50/50s we could have won....
We seriously need to go back to basics or we are stuffed.

Spot on fella. It's the same on social media our fans are the most cringeworthy I've come across. Will blame anyone and everthing other than the team.

OTOH, the team being poor doesn't give the officials a free pass.
We made FAR too many mistakes to deserve the win, but Hicks gave us nothing all night. Had he been more even-handed we might have scraped an 'undeserved' win.

That covers it, Hicks needs to referee a few Championship games, problem is the pool of referees is more of a parched puddle. If the RFL spent more in the officials than they do on back slapping events for themselves it would be a start. But this is the same RFL who have allowed teams to manifestly undermine the game at U23. Having your OWN U23 side should be mandatory for SL membership. But that is a whole different conversation!

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| Quote: number 6 "Whatever happened to the rule of benefit of the doubt to the attacking team? Or is that just when certain teams score tries like that and are given. Guarantee Leeds scored either of those tries last night they are given'"
, you ever thought of being a stand-up comedian. So what you are suggesting now is that if a touch/in goal judge sees someone put a foot or arm into touch they are meant to just ignore it ? You sound like the sort of bloke who would moan like hell If you got done for speeding just over the limit. "Please m'lud", I was only just over, what about benefit of the doubt?" You had a couple of close calls went against you, stop squealing like a pig and take it like a grown up. You've got to remember this Hicks fella sent Danny McGuire to the sin bin for 10 minutes for having his ankle twisted off by Mark Sneyd not so long back. Didn't hear you moaning then.

|
| ...did you actually read the post he was replying to?
Here's a reminder, because you clearly didn't.
Quote: Hasbag "Watching the highlights it just looks to me that none of the refs have a clue whether is was a try or not so end up guessing. Which if that's the case is a pretty terrible way to potentially decide the outcome of a match. Highlight to me the need for video referees at all games.'"
