| Quote: old frightful "I think I heard or read somewhere that the SMC were going to charge Hull FC a fortune to use the Stadium Ticket office to sell tickets so Hull decided to sell them from the bar instead. This is probably why they asked people to bring the correct change in order that they don't have to operate any tills. It must have been obvious from the outset that this would cause panic but unfortunately these things will always go on until the rift between the Allams/SMC and Hull FC is healed which I think will never happen.
As I hinted, this may not be the case but I certainly heard it from somewhere and it sounds about right.'"
There isn't a ticket office at the stadium anymore hasn't been for ages, last year they sold the tickets from the club shop this year it was in the pitch side bar they had 6 or so Compton terminals all with card machines they had plenty of change and you got a till receipt. James Clark was in there so I asked him why they sold tickets on Wednesday he couldn't or wouldn't give me an answer.

| Very short queues now and Leeds have apparently only sold 2500 so should be plenty for Hull fans wanting to attend?

| As predicted, there was no need to panic (or queue overnight).

All part of the big occasion. Great to be doing this more regularly and having these sorts of challenges.

| I hope everyone gets what they wanted but sounds so bloody stressful/frustrating for some not to mention having to queue for several hours.
James Clark needs to start earning his salt as 'CEO' because from just the stories here it's been a shambles.
Anyway I hope it's all worth while for those going, personally I've decided to give it a miss for various reasons despite it being closer by a considerable distance to home.
I wouldn't feel like I'm glory hunting if we make the final having done 740 miles for the two CC games already and also had to re-arrange a cycling trip to France/Switzerland just in case we made the final
Hoping to take a couple of complete newbies (to RL) this year IF we make it

| At least if we play Salford in the final , getting tickets won't be a problem.

True. This is our tenth semi-final/final on a neutral ground in thirteen seasons, I think. Hopefully more big game ticket buying being done in just over five weeks

| Coach full, tickets sorted, early in Donny centre for a full on session.
We've got used to winning semis and the Keepmoat has been kind to us so hope we can keep that run going.

We could play Siddal in a 200000 stadium and some Hull fans would still panic, when will the fans learn not to panic it happens every time we play in a semi or final.
This has been caused a few fans on social media whipping up a storm over nothing.
Everyone who wants a ticket will get one, some fans will have queued for 12 hours, when they could have gone at 4:30 and got as many tickets as they wanted.

Exactly.
Talk of a "shambles" is just plain silly. The club aren't daft, they know what they are doing. Two tickets per member sounds wrong in principle but I bet the vast majority of members didn't take up the extra ticket. If the club had said North Stand tickets were on sale to members on Wednesday that would have made it awkward for people who have to go to work and who can't phone or go online for tickets.
They were damned either way. The semi is unlikely to sell out, they never do these days.

They shouldn't have started selling tickets to none pass holders before the members that's what's got people's goat up I asked James Clark about it today and he wouldn't answer it.

Members could buy tickets on Wednesday.
North Stand (where most Hull fans will be) tickets weren't available until today and only to members. They haven't sold out.
James Clark probably thought some people will moan about anything instead of enjoying the fact that we are in another Challenge Cup semi-final.

That's a fair point, but think the club are trying to maximise money, which I can't blame them and if this money helps our club compete in many more games like this then then it's the right decision.
Despite this decision everyone who wants a ticket will get one, so even though the decision was a strange one, it hasn't effected anyone so far.

I'm not disputing the fact that everybody could get tickets it's the fact that they were available to anyone on Wednesday before members that's the bug bear and I tried to get 3 on Wednesday without success so does make it right that all the other semi finalists were selling to members 1st for a few days just like we have done in the past.

But doesn't make it right though does it, should they have just put them on general said to anyone?
