If I want to post a bit of balance and call out what I see as relentless, repetitive and pointless denigration of the club, guess what, I may well do so.
I recognise openly the shortcomings of the squad (prop, centre, back up hooker), the lack of structure in attack, the worrying slide of our defence, the inexperience of of coaching staff. But there are some positives. The academy's doing well, new training ground, healthy merchandise sales, some early promise from our halves and strength in the back row. If you point the latter out in here you're slated for being an apologist or not a true fan. Hilarious, seriously.'"
Well said.

| Can't believe the negativity, 4 games isn't enough to judge us either way. Wigan just got 40+ points put on them by a 0-3 team. For me, the only real disappointment has been the 2nd half against Leeds, can't be disappointed at losing by 4 points to a team that the next week went to the south of France and put 40 past Catalan, we have no divine right to beat Salford, as we showed that Hudds had no divine right to beat us on the opening day. It's impossible to put us in perspective until at least 10 games in, until then support your team ffs.

The uproar on here would be massive if we did that.

There have undoubtedly been some strange results so far which often happens in the early part of the season.
I guess if we had beaten Hudds in round 4 rather than round 1 there would be a lot less negativity.
We have no divine right to beat Salford but should have done so but the players let us down. Badly.
The problem is that the regular season is now 23 games and after 10 games its nearly half over and if we don't start performing before then we'll spend the second half of the season in a battle to stay out of the bottom 4.

Exactly!

Without question

Based on what? But for two pieces of spectacular play from Chase we would have!
Quote: Diogenes "the players let us down. Badly.'"
Who stood out as having a particularly poor game? I went and can't remember anyone having an exceptionally poor performance. Hadley, maybe, but he's still inexperienced so it's understandable that it will happen to him now and again.

Apart from Saints, Leeds & Wire I don't see anything from anyone to suggest we've been left behind yet, that's impossible to judge until halfway through IMO.
Though this is not aimed at you, it does make me laugh that people state we'll finish no better than 7th-8th then when we show the form true to that prediction, they decide to have a meltdown anyway.

I'm not sure our current form suggests a 7th or 8th place finish. As 1865 said in an earlier post we'll have a better idea after 10 matches but there will have to be some improvement in form over the next 5-6 games to suggest a top 8 finish is likely.
Realistically we are probably where we expected to be after 4 rounds; its just that the performances against Hudds and Wire raised expectations.

There's certainly an element of that. However there are those that, seemingly, wait for opportunities to have a good meltdown and berate everyone at the club and anyone who dares to think differently.
My stand point is that 4 games in to a season is not enough to judge how a season will turn out, especially when we've only had 40 minutes of poor rugby, really.

He will say that, especially publicly as he will have his own perception on where he thinks this squad can be.

And Leeds and Salford lowered them. The problem is the manner of the Leeds defeat, which suggests that the old failings, that we thought had gone after the first two games, are still there
