Seriously? How many of your first team would get a look in that starting 13? Based on form from last season as we have none to go by yet, only Paea, Lineham and Crooks would maybe get a start.

Please read my post properly please.
I never said we had better players, in fact they are better than us in most positions, but only just and not as much as the league table will show next year.

Wane and his staff have a great work effic there, their main goal is to win RL games.
He works within his players limitations.

Fair enough - it hasn't come across that way to me, certainly not to the level you have picked up. Not heard the Feka interview but judging by some antics it could just as easily be a wind up. Indeed the owner himself spoke in the press yesterday ..

I'm not picking up from Pearson there any indications that discipline will be meted out in the form of "fear, threats, and physical violence" indeed he seems to have totally bucked that theme ....
[iHe’s technically as good a coach as Peter Gentle was. He’s more assertive, has the respect of the players and works as hard as anyone
"Lee has made it clear to every player and every employee what their role is and what is expected of them.
“Hopefully, those standards will see improved performances.
“Lee will be given time. We've got a difficult start to the season, but there will be no dramas at this end. Lee is the right man, I know that, and I’ll stand behind him because he’s a top guy.”
[/i
All pretty reasonable stuff really. I think at least as much of the stuff you allude to has been generated by the fans as the club on the back of Radford's playing image and his penchant (and ability) for boxing. Maybe Feka was just rolling along on that particular bandwagon (or having a laugh) ? Hard for any of us to tell based on us not being anywhere near training or the players themselves. Unless of course anyone has been down to open training and can report back ?

How on earth does AP know Radford is technically as good coach as Gentle? He is a football man and can't have picked up that much information/experience in such a short space of time. I doubt he has formed that opinion himself, has it come from the idiot McRae, the unqualified Motu Tony? I'm not believing that but I'm sure plenty are.

| Quote: Radford Q&A "I’ve also heard a few people talk about the bars I own and whether there will be a drinking culture in the club.
I can assure fans that won’t be a problem and I think fans will be surprised how many players in the squad don’t touch a drop of alcohol,
but if we do see any incidents like we have in the England camp this week, those players will be slung out.
We’ll also be boxing every Saturday morning in pre-season and they’ll find themselves having to go six rounds with me if they do!
'" I don't suppose this is what Feka was referring to.

I don't know where you got that idea from.
I'm maybe reading too much into it - it's the off season and I don't pay as much attention to the minutiae as I do during the season proper. I just don't like the general tone of what's being said at the moment.

I read the piece from AP and it is, as you say, pretty reasonable stuff. A welcome change of tone for me, bearing in mind that it was comments by AP at the announcement of Radford's appointment that kicked off the 'fear' speculation.
I don't for one minute believe that Radford is ruling the players through physical intimidation. I do think that someone at the club thought it would do no harm to foster that image though. Looks like that policy is changing for the better.
I have my doubts about Radford's appointment as I've made clear since it was announced. None of them involve the likelihood of him knocking seven bells out of the players though.
