| Know the try at the end was disheartening however think most people before the game would have taken a point espeically with no Seymour.
The things that impressed me the most was how good our goal line defence was in the last 20 and how with the ball we stuck to our new attacking principles by trying to play some stuff and go for more points instead of going safety first and inviting Warrington on to us.
The whole atmosphere of the stadium had a different feel to it I thought too, when we needed a big defensive set the crowd really got fired up and even when we made mistakes there wasnt the usual distinct groan that normally comes with it.
All in all think everybody has bought into Pearson and Gentles vision be it the players and the fans and everybody who went today will have gone home entertained which makes a massive change.

| Thought we lacked a bit of composure and leadership at times which cost us the game IMO. Some very promising early signs though

| O Carroll should be back next week so that will give us an extra impact forward.
Very tough game next week, harder than this week IMO.

WARRINGTON coach Tony Smith called for the issue of video referees to be raised once again after watching his side come away from the KC Stadium with just one point.
Last season’s minor premiers had to settle for a draw against a new-look Hull FC after Ben Westwood missed a last-minute conversion which would have won the game.
Annoyed at one of Hull’s four tries in the 20-20 draw being allowed despite the touch judge ruling it out, Smith was scathing in his criticism.
He said: “There were some really disappointing things about the game. We shouldn’t have been behind.

| Smith has been moaning about video ref for as long as he's been at wire, his attitude being have it at all or have it at non, to which i'll subscribe to, i thought the same long before Smith came.

Yeah like trent waterhouse try were firstly we should have had a penalty for the player been tackled then dragged over the line, secondly markers not square, and ther full defensive line been offside but hey ho tony, deal with it

| Disappointed not to have won having lead for so long but a fair result overall. Tickle and Houghton were both superb, Whiting and Aspinwall were both impressive from the bench. I thought Moa looked like he had been told to pull back from his normal game yesterday so he could do more minutes, which is understandable.
Martin looked good and Sharp seemed to have a new confidence about him. Briscoe showed more awareness with a couple of kicks he put in. Still questioning Westerman through the middle, the defending is taking a lot away from his attacking game. I thought Horne kicked aswell as I have ever seen him and Lynch got better as the game went on. Manu and Yeaman both quiet too.
Attack was the problem yesterday as the timing wasn't there and the spilled ball meant more defending however I was pleased we kept trying to play and did not go into our shells. 2nd half defence was excellent and we scrambled well.
Only real negative was we kept bringing the forwards back into the ruck, I hate that tactic.

If you look at the replay the touch judge clearly signals Tom bounced it but Ganson is in a far better position and on the replay I think this time Ganson was right to award the try, however their could of been a knock-on in the lead up to the touch down but even with the repalys its difficult to say.
I wonder if Smith was also concerned about Manu having the ball stripped and Wade having a clear run to the line yet the play was brought back for a knock-on. I think not.

| Was please with our kicking game yesterday. It was just basic rugby put it in the corner, if it goes into touch then defend the scrum if not then pressure the winger or full back. Simple and effective.

Not sure I'd agree with that yet at this early stage. I do think he has looked out of sorts there in the last 2 games, but I'm not so sure it's definitely the physical side that's causing it. It's looked more like communication/organisation to me, which will take a bit of time for the players to get used to. He didn't really start last season startlingly though, so I think he'll settle into the new role and get better as the season progresses like he did last year.

No, the touch judge signalled a drop out. He's waving the flag that way to signal that's dead, and pointing to where it should be restarted (the sticks).
I have no idea how he's come to that conclusion. He was the worst positioned of the three officials and if you're not sure you keep quiet. More than once he gave Ganson the wrong call and more than once was overruled.
Their may have been a knock in in play, you cant tell on the replay who hits it first, but I reckon had the VR been there it'd have been benefit of the doubt attacking team anyway.
Like you say though, Smith didn't seem concerned about all the calls that Wire got, so he's a massively sore loser.

Their's a great picture in the mail that shows Tom touching down and Ganson's position, the touch judge is on the other side and out of shot which to me vindicates Ganson over ruling him.
I still say his signal was Tom bounced the ball down and he calls for a tap 20, but hey I'll not argue the point with ya.

| Not sure if anyone has questioned why Waterhouse chose to pass when falling over to score was easier?
