| So both clubs could gain but you'd trade that for both clubs to lose?

Because first and foremost i'm a rugby league fan.
I want the game to be as strong as possible in as many countries as possible, I don't take delight in Hkr or any other RL side making massive losses and face going under.
I don't understand why you'd punish your own club just because it would punish your closest rivals.

Hang on but Rovers will benefit financially - er NO , I change my mind based on utter hatred for them scumbags
Let them stay at Caravan Park and earn a fraction of what they would at KC , I hate them so NO financial advantage to them whatsoever - nuff said'"
What I want to know is, why all of a sudden are Rovers wanting to do this. I know they are rumours of the loss of the Golf Stand but they haven't exactly sold out a derby at there place with it anyway. With the lack of movement on there North stand and it appears no one knows were Mr Allams money has gone I wonder if Rovers are in serious financial trouble. They is no way a few years ago Rovers would have wanted to do this, so why the sudden change of heart ?
The bottom line is the directors "personal loans" are coming to an end. Getting a 20,000 crowd at the KC could really help Rovers achieve over 10k average and help them break even. The mind ponders.

How could we gain ? not financially I am sure , only by playing at home and for what is in it for rovers I don't want it.
Let's face it - allam owns SMC and Hudge owes 1 million to Allam. Pearson needs Allam to renegootiate on SMC agreement so we can make more money at FC . SO Allam leans on Hudge and Pearson leans on Hudge and Luca Brotska leans and low and behold Hudge asks for derby at KC so the extra 'spend' goes into different coffers.

| Sorry, when you first posted I thought you quoted me about the friendly.
We'd profit from hkr been financially secure by them (and us) making profit and putting it back in to youth rl.

He does what's best for Rovers. You mean like putting you on the brink of financial ruin

It all reminds me of a non league club in the F.A Cup being drawn at home against a premireship club but wanting to play the tie away for a big pay day and a big day out for their supporters.

FYI admin advised me not to accept your version of events or your "apology" and they knew full well what you had implied, but because I don't hold grudges and wanted to move on I told them it would suffice.

| IF this happens then I'd have no problem if I had to sit in the North Stand for the game.
Clearly ticketing would be an issue. Would the KC ticket office sell tickets for the whole ground or would East Stand tickets only be available from the Craven Park ticket office?
I wouldn't imagine it would sell out anyway. I would think there'll be somewhere in the region of 15,000-17,000.

| I think the arrangements for the friendly are fine.
However in terms of SL, FC pay around £50k a match to play at the KC (based on £600k+ per season). Allam giving Rovers free use of the stadium for a derby means Hudgell gets all our cash from this fixture. Given his inflammatory attitude towards "that club" recently, I'm not sure I'd be rushing to give him my £25 tbh. It also allows Allam to further his stated merger agenda. An attendance of 5k might help persuade him there's no appetite for it. Besides, Rovers get lots of subsidies already, through peppercorn rental arrangements, central government loans, European grants (assuming the latter are approved). I'm sure our £50 wouldn't be missed.

| Where does it state hkr will be getting the ground for free?
And don't we have offices at the KC? Wouldn't that add to the 600k?

We do have offices but even if we paid £100k a year for them it would still work out at £44k a game with inflation. My opinion is that given Hudgell's open aggression towards our club on multiple occasions, I wouldn't want to be directly subsidising any aspect of his agenda. Amusing that in the HDM it says Hudgell has to ask our permission though.

| I'd be fuming if it was offered to them for free. It would show complete incompetence from the people running the SMC who would not be looking after the interests of those who actually DO pay a rent.
They should have to pay a rental fee, and it shouldn't be a simple case of one-thirteenth of what we pay. We get it in bulk at the end of the day. We keep the place going. We should be getting more than 13x the one-off rate.
The free part is just rumour though, and for the life of me I hope they aren't true because if they are it probably WOULD contribute to me not going. Not because of Rovers gain, but because I do not support Mr Allam's bias.
Reading the article though, this quote would suggest we have a say (and I can't imagine we'd agree if they got a better deal than us):
"It is thought Rovers will formally seek permission of the Black and Whites and the RFL once building work starts at Craven Park."
