Or fitness? The exposure the coach has to the players at HT relative to his exposure during the full week is minimal. I'm not defending Agar but I'm not sure how his HT team talks can be blamed when he speaks to the players far longer during the week?

The commentator said (dunno if you all heard it) that agars message at half time was to go out and defend, you don't need to defend, if your scoring trys, and attacking well. IMHO he went straight back to his negative tactics. CLUELESS!

The 2 key areas Agar failes/lacks in his coaching attributes is: Motivation, Tactics, especially lacking on how to kill a game off.

You're wrong, but TBH I can't be ar$sed to go through the same arguments again. And it's irrelevant anyway as the important thing is how good he is now and will be next season. He's been one of our better players up until his injury, but on today's showing I reckon he should take the time out to have whatever treatment he needs and get 100% fit for the pre-season.

I agree with Kosh.

Richard Horne on his day is one of our best players. He's been through a lot of injuries, we've been playing with only 1 half back (and any pairing over the past few seasons has been limited to only a handful of games).

On top of that, after cooke went, hull have never replaced him, horne and cooke linked up very well, and was always a threat. How many times did you see horne make a half break today, look to offload for no one to be there? I can name at least 5 or 6 times!

Our support play is terrible. The solution is a few outgoings and incomings, and agar needs replacing with a coach, aussie or newzelander that likes to play attacking rugby.

Never said he wasn't injured but you always come out with some sort of excuse for him.


He never has nor never will be good enough for a team who want to be the biggest club in the country. A two year deal was a mistake we will see that over the next two seasons.

We should be looking to a different half back, we know he doesn't have the personality (which is a rubbish excuse) to control games as a half back he should have gone a long time ago.

Horne can't control a game on his own. Cooke was twice the player Horne was.

Yup, bang on the money, just some people seem to think he is beyond reproach, he was garbage today when we needed someone to control the game, would we have lost with Dykes on the field, NO.

Ah well, just our exciting scrap for 8th followed by a playoff defeat to look forward to now.

We threw the game away and it had nothing to do with the Agar team talk. From about the 45th to 55th minute one dropped ball when we in control of the game changed the match. We never touched the ball, gave away 4 penalties and kicked the ball dead. That 10 mins cost us the game. We at least scored and got back to 2 points but again a silly penalty and let Leeds get back on the front foot.

Players were to blame but sometimes you can't alter momentum in RL.

That said hopefully this will be one of the final nails in Agar's coffin, I hope we don't just bring in a DOR.
