Good because that's what we're seriously lacking for me. We only have Yeaman everybody else who's covered there this year are just that, cover imo.

| Good point.
If we sign a quality centre, who can put there winger away almost at will. We should be definitely be looking at moving Yeamo to the right centre spot. Yeamos superior defence against most other centres should see him move to the right because most teams have there best attacking centre/wing partnership on the left. Yeamo should be used to stop this imo.

| Or we could sign a quality winger and play Yeamo and Tom in the centres.

Deffo offer Calders a one year deal on our terms. If he gets a start elsewhere then good luck to him, I wish him well. Other than that, he's the player with best hustle in the squad after Ogre. He's keen, hunts the ball well, has a tidy amount of niggle about him and with service is a proven try scorer.
I would most not be upset at seeing him get a new deal (subject to medical opinion !).

totally agree, I think a lot of people are writing Mark off just because he's had some bad injuries. He's a great marker tackler especially for a winger & still has a fair turn of pace plus all the other attributes you mentioned. Get him right & maybe find either another out & out winger or centre depending on how he goes & what position Agar wants Tom Briscoe at(centre for me personally)

I would love to see Tom get a run at centre. He is one of the few players with that special talent of scoring classic tries from a standing start!
His pace and strength could make him a revelation at centre.

| From a running angles perpective, strength, pace and footwork he could make a very good centre. This thing is though defending at centre is one of the hardest things to do so this would also need working on with him, his positional play will need improving as will his decision making. He need to know when to come out and when to stay put and also need to know when to pass.
We have no evidence whatsoever that he will be a better centre than winger and I am not sure why people want him moved, what's wrong with him where he is. Also we don't know what his passing game is like, a few times when he has made breaks he has ignored an obvious pass and bombed a try or thrown a bad pass out. Again this is down to decision making.
If we sign a centre then Briscoe will stay on the wing for another year or two imo.

If Briscoe stays on the wing and never gets the opportunity to play centre then we will never know how good a centre we already have at the club!
Of course he will have to learn to defensive side of playing there but you must admit he has progressed very well so far with everything thrown at him and he strikes me as the kind of kid who is willing to listen and learn in an attempt to develop his own game.

We've perservered with Hall and his defensive frailties and not really got anywhere in 3 years. Why not give Tom that chance,i'll wager he'll learn and adapt a damn sight quicker than Hall, Yes he'll make mistakes but as long as he learns from them he'll be fine. The only other option is to pay top wack for a tried and tested centre, which for me is the lazy option and easy way out. A point someone raised to me at the weekend which is valid is that why would Agar risk his job developing a player when you can buy a quick fix?

I'd like to see Hall have a go in the centre too but Agar would also be justified is syaing 'why move an International winger into the centres?'.

Agar has stated himself that he sees Tom's future at centre and I reckon the way he has nurtured him so far has been very effective, so there's no real need to change until the time is right. I think his work with that other "project", Moa, seems to coming along nicely too.
I could be wrong - I have been wrong once before

| Tom wants to play centre and thats why the club gave him the number 3 shirt and is happy to cover on the wing, but I think he will definately want to go centre next year so I think we will get another winger will be signed.

Spot on that Paul, as much as we would like to see TB have a fly at the centre he is however a young fella making big strides on the wing and I believe he will become a winger by trade as it clearly is a position that he excels at and one he has nailed on now at both club and international level and he will only get better !
Have to say as wingers go he is up there with some of the best I have seen come through and he has a strength that is phenomenal for his age as we all see week in week out
