If he wanted to punish hm for swearing then he should fine him, not deny the club the services of one of the better performers in recent weeks.
If I was working for someone who only expected a colleague to do 15 minutes of work a week I thnk I might be a little bit less than "fully motivated"'"

First off, I'm not advocating that we sack Agar. But that's just plain daft.
Every coach we've ever sacked had some dependents, and if Agar were to be dismissed he'd get a substantial payoff.
Oh - and the confidence of the board means diddly squat. They were confident about Kear and Sharp as well.

| I was an Agar sceptic when the initial appointment was made and, like most, i had hoped that he would get his opportunity elsewhere to eventually lead Hull as an experienced first team coach at a later stage. Hull are a big club and over recent seasons (last season excluded) demonstrated that they were potentially on the verge of creating something very good. So, IMO at the time we appointed Agar we should of been appointing a tradesman - not an apprentice. Steve Foulkes expressed his interest and he would of been my pick, but i expect he wanted a reasonable salary as well (most probably the stumbling block). Agar will, as will any Hull coach, receive my full backing and i will reserve absolute judgement until the season closes.

Because he is clearly out of his depth, the interchanges and tactics are evidence enough, he should never have been in the position in the first place.
Quote: wolfie "i know its not about sentiment but the guy has a wife and 2 young kids to look after,i wouldnt wish my worst enemy to be out of a job especialy the way things are atm with the credit crunch,'"
Who cares? Is he going to recompense me for my expenses for attending the game? No, it's a results business, he has not even accepted that he may shoulder some of the blame, nor has he apologised. The buck stops with him.
Quote: wolfie "i agree with robbo leave things alone for now and maybe look elsewere at end of season if things dont change,'"
so, consign another season to the heap because of poor coaching, finish at the bottom, another season of embarassment? No thanks.
Quote: wolfie "seems as though the board had confidence in him been the right man regardless of what we think.'"
The board had confidence that he was cheap, he has never been "the right man for the job", it's why Kath was making decisions last season and they brought Sharp in for this one.
It's not the results per-se, it's the manner of the results and the complete lack of direction, like I said, the buck stops with Agar, hetook the plaudits of a Wembly appearance, he'll have to take the criticism now.

And on that note he is winning more then he is losing in his first full season. Not picking holes in your argument, i'm in agreement with nearly all of what you are saying, i do however feel it may be reasonable to give him an opprtunity to turn this around before he is fully condemned.

So if he doesn't apologise, do we pay him all season for sitting in the stands? Can't see that swearing is grounds for witholding his pay.

Don't you want your players to be pi$$ed off when subbed, it shows a bit of passion surely.

I guess I am just angry about yesterday, we looked apathetic and disinterested. We are out of the CC, we will not struggle the top 6 playing lik we have been, and I see no sign that Agar can change that.
How long do we give him, and more importantly, who comes in, I'd hate to have Sharp as head coach.

My principal concern and the overarching factor in which i continue to back Agar as i'm sure that will be the inevitable and longterm replacement.
