I liked the look of Holdsworth last year let alone this year and he's only got better. Ideally I'd prefer Brough but Holdsworth would be a very good option as well especially if we still get Chase. Look at the HBs playing in the comp and name a better combo then that? All 3 of those players are very good passers of the ball with very good attacking kicking games.

I know he's meant to be retiring and doesn't fit the young, up and coming category that Pearson has alluded to but I wouldn't mind taking Luke Patten for a year or two. Thought he was quality yesterday and a threat every time he came and joined Salford’s attacking line. He’s a specialist full back in every sense, top player imo

quota/fed issues, problem with all these players coming to the end of their careers, he has been a class act though, I agree.

I believe that should Daniel Holsworth sign for Hull he will make them a better team. I watched him closely yesterday & in my opinion his body language indicated to me the may be a deal had been done. I thought that he played well within himself & mentioned this to others near me.

If this is instead if Chase then I will be disappointed.

If it is aswell as Chase then I'd be very happy with that, what a half back pair.

I've said it before but I hope we get a couple of big scary hard hitting props to fill omeley and moa's places. The best half backs in the world wont do the best job behind a beaten pack.

IF we sign Taylor to play alongside Watts with Lynch and a.n.other then I think we'll be OK, we will miss Moa, that is for certain.

Agree with this especially the first sentence, be a bit disappointed if its instead of chase wouldn't be unhappy with holdsworth though.

Chase is crucial imo. We could sign another top half to go with Holdsworth but Chase has that bit of magic and will excite the fans.

As for props Lynch, Watts, Kite and one other ? plus Bowden.

It will take some serious legal challenge to get Chase a visa to play for FC, I'm not ruling it out, but I am not holding my breath.

I think the only way we won't get Chase (who is now 'conveniently' injured anyway) is if our perceived time frame or deadline for signing him runs out before we get a visa or if he gets his visa refused. We don't want to hang around so long that we miss out on other targets and yet we don't want to be hasty and miss out on chase, its a tough call. Lots of rumours about this morning that the deal for Holdsworth was sorted yesterday after the game don't know if its true though, you always get that sort of stuff I guess!

Holdsworth is part of the picture but we do need another H/B, be it Chase or someone else.

I think Holdsworth and Chase would go well together. Holdsworth and Brough perhaps less so.
