Sounds like Long has a torn a hamstring which a player of 19yrs could do so I dont think its a matter of anyone saw it coming. Its just plain bad luck.
We need to build a replacement half back pairing anyway and now is as good a time as ever to get it sorted.

What concerns me is we appear to have been lied to about Long, how he can go from being in the 19 as a possibility to not coming back until at least Wigan is a little odd. The club made strides in communications last season, I'd hoped they would kick on from there, but it's early days I guess; unless of course he's had different medical advice in the intervening period, which we don't know about?

We have to do something, and hopefully soon.

perhaps when he was named in the 19,he had a chance but pulled up again in training the day before?if he was to play against wrexham,he would have had to have had a fitness test at some point before the game-he could have made it worse at this point,hence the club now saying he could be out for the next 2 games.

Quite possible, it would just be nice to be a little better informed.
