Thorman's loyalty to Sharp is undeniable.

Sharp gave up on him at fb.

At hb he can organise well and has a good kicking game but is inconsistent. Too many days when he can't deliver.

Runs too laterally and holds the ball too long. His 'show and go' fools no one and he does it too many times in a game.

Defensively very poor. he tries in D but decent centres/back rowers running at him get too many soft yards/clean breaks and off loads .

Underperforms in big games.

excellent off field. Honest and loyal and never a shirker.

It wasn't though. Thorman was soon shifted away from fullback after a string of diabolical performances, with Cudjoe playing the majority of the season there.

and where did thorman play?

Stand-off mainly, but also scrum half when Robinson was out and from the bench for a couple of games. When he wasn't left out altogether that is.

Oh dear Wolster, he may not have a choice in walking , like Sharpy, however i hope Albo doesnt walk, i hope he proves he can mix it at top level as a coach, i like the guy , its just my feeling if we have a bad run and fans get on his back i think Jon Sharp might steal the job off him, now stop been sarcy and =violetgo put your dress and lippy on :wink:

Would have given him till the end of 2009 ideally. Problem with relatively short deals is the relentless speculation on when the club will open talks to extend the contract which proves distracting. Warrington have done it with Lowes but I can imagine them getting rid mid season and/or constant links to Aussie coaches if he doesn't deliver. Having said that, they let Cullen get away with it for years.

As a Giants supporter I'd have to agree with this. It was very frustrating watching Chris Thorman - you knew he had the talent but he just didn't show it often enough for whatever reason. Playing at FB didn't help, just not his position. Great defensive organiser and place kicker. Really hope he goes well for you as he got a rough ride from Giants fans towards the end of his time there.
