As I said, if that's the limit of your ambition for FC then fair enough,Chase has more baggage than Service Air and Holdsworth isn't good enough, my personal opinion.

Loads of fans at the game spoken about how good he was too. If you can't see his qualities then it's not worth debating.

If you don't want Chase or Holdsworth who do you want us to sign to play half back? I'd say there are only Dureau, Finch and Brough who are better than the two of them.

If we can keep Chase focussed then he'll be a decent signing, I'd rather keep Seymour or Horne than pay a fee for Holdsworth, I wouldn't touch Brough unless his contract had more conditions than a UN treaty.

You don't half talk some cack. The extent of my ambition is for us to have one of the best halfback combinations in the league. If you can name a better one than Chase/Holdsworth (that we could realistically be expected to sign), I'd be interested to hear it.

That's the problem, some on here think players like Cronk, Thurston etc. are just lining up to join us. They need to get real.

He's hardly a cast off is he. He's a very good player with the added bonus of being a decent goal kicker. And just to put things into perspective Wigan have recently signed his half back partner Matty Smith.

Smith is a young guy at the start of his career, hardly comparable to Holdsworth.

We shall see, the HDM has got it wrong many more times than right in recent weeks, I'll keep supporting the 2012 team and worry about 2013 in November.

Why is he a Salford 'cast off'? They'd be demanding a fee, so they're hardly 'casting him off'. That aside, signing a player from a lower-placed club doesn't mean they're a bad signing.

I haven't said Horne was better, but I don't think paying a fee for Holdsworth is a good idea. And last time I looked, 24 was young.
