| Quote: Tooms2000 "When Brian McDermott went to Leeds the fans wanted rid of him. Radford said when he started that it would take a couple of seasons to sort it all out . Well he has had his couple of seasons .This is his Team it is now time for him to deliver . It is hard to comprehend how many season pass holders we have lost but hey that is sport . Our crowds need to improve tremendously but this will only come by winning . No disrespect to the teams that finished below or around us last year but we need to be beating or competing with Leeds , Wigan, Saints etc not just a lucky win here and there . This really is my last season. I have bought 1 x senior pass and 2 juniors for the last 3 or 4 years supporting Pearson. I work away as well so dont even use the pass for every game So for me this really is make or break'"
Ive always kept in mind that radders said he would take a couple years to build a team and this years does seem to be significantly different than from a few years back. A lot more youth has come through and some big stars in the making, tipping Logan for stardom. This year is it for radders, like you said, if we don't compete then he needs to go.

| Quote: Mild mannered Janitor "The three things highlighted
1. It cannot be shocking if you expected it to happen.
2. How has Pearson buried his head in the sand? A managers office with a revolving door would put us back to square one on a frequent basis. The cringeworthy line of "I need my players" or "Time to gel" cack would be reeled out time and again with yet another 2-3 year lead time. Personally I think Pearson should be applauded by sticking by a coach rather than being trigger happy in the fired button. Pearson has backed his man, at his own financial cost in the short term on the hope it works out. Its Pearson who stands to be a lot worse off than anyone else on this so I would say his eye are as wide open as you can get on this. Don't get me wrong, I have been a Radford critic, but this year he HAS to deliver.
3. Whats this arrogance and contempt for fans you talk of? If you think he doesn't listen to the fans (hasn't fired Radford at the bequest of fans disgruntlement) then good on him. Asaleof very vocal fans speak out in the heat of the moment nt and most say irrational things.'"
1. The actual figure is shocking not the decline in sales. Which is actually clear from the post.
2. We obviously have differing opinions on this. But the fact Pearson knew crowds were declining. Knew fans were not happy with Radford or the rugby served. And we were roundly criticized in the media for how poor we were at times. Yet he chose to ignore the warning signs which would lead to a decline in sales and support his man so good on him and bully for you he did eh. But this has been to the detriment of his finances again his choice but why bleat about it and plead with fans to support the club financially when clearly fans and thousands of them disagree.
Again clear.
3. Again we disagree on this but at times his comments and actions in the media and public have been very disparaging towards fans.
Again clear and documented and previously discussed on here.
Is that clear enough for you?

I think you've summed it up pretty well.

| on a slightly more positive note, maybe a lot of supporters are waiting to see how this team performs. if we do well there could be a bigger than usual walk up of match day tickets buyers. this puts quite a bit of pressure on radford and the team to perform but get it right and the crowds could still be decent
the lost season ticket buyers haven't disappeared, they are all still there in the shadows

| Can't see a big walk up myself with the problems getting hold of tickets on match days. The SMC changes have really come at a bad time for us and made it easier for people not to bother

Not just the ticket issues. When you have not made a financial commitment to go to a game there are so many other things to sway your decision. Bad weather, Cash flow, Game on sky, Poor form to name a few examples. Results make a big difference and would go a long way to help improve crowds, but we saw last year that the league as a whole has become much more competitive week to week so the chances of stringing together a good run of results is a much harder task.

No need to be condescending.
And why is it bully for me?
If there were knee jerk reactions every time the fans started bleating the chairman would be described as a puppet. There were far too many on here who were too quick to criticise Radford before he'd taken charge of his first game. We were told there was a lot of dead wood which needed clearing out when he was first put in charge, that would take some time to sort out. So, we as fans knew this 2 years ago, yet the same criticism is aired. We have been told that THIS season is the make or break one. You cannot blame the bloke who has put his hand in his pocket for trying to rally the fans.
If he were to have sacked Radford at the end of last season, it would have been back to square one with a new coach wanting different player. There would be another 2 year transition. He has backed his man, it's time the fans backed the team.
What is clear on this forum is that there are some who would appear only happy when they are complaining about the club, it's players, it's coach or its owner. Sort of begs the question as to why they bother at all if it makes them to angry and unhappy.

| radford and tony have done a lot of good stuff off the field but on it we've been poor throughout his tenure as coach and are certainly one of the least entertaining sides to watch. I can see us winning enough games to scrape into the 8 but it will likely be bilge to watch yet again which will turn the fans away. Pass sales are poor and I'll bet there are plenty amongst those 5700 who seriously thought about not renewing this year and will be unlikely to if it's as bad again next season. 5 wins at home in 15 games is truly terrible and a recipe for disaster for pass renewals for 2017 if things don't improve significantly at the KC

Indeed, I've been thinking about this all day and personally I find the whole thing a bit worrying and somewhat perplexing really. Adam made noises about us struggling five months ago, which many chose to ignore but since then we have continued to lose experienced staff at an alarming rate and now we see our owner again coming forward with this news, a few days after we were told that people were rushing to get tickets at the end of the last sales phase. This time he declared that ticket sales have dropped by what, if we are to believe what the owner says, is a very significant amount.
I'm positive that he's doing his best and we have to support him because quite frankly he's all we've got, but everyone, like me, was starting to relish the start of the campaign so it was a strange thing for the Club to come out with just now.
I think I would have kept quiet myself at least until we kicked off by which time we would have given ourselves the best chance of a big build up and would then be in possession of the full renewal figures which will still go up in the next 3 weeks. An announcement now for me is just counter productive! Just my thoughts however but as I say a bit baffling really!
