Yep, huge game on Friday. If we could win that and get through the cup game, maybe one or two players back for a vital run of games.

So what? Why does it need to be for an isolated win? Just as if we were winning nearly every week it wouldn't be right to rip into him or call for his head after one loss, people aren't obliged to praise him for winning one game. If he guides us to several wins and performance improvements, THEN people should be expected to man up and acknowledge he's done well.

He coached nothing.What he did was put on the field what he thought was a fit 17 he had available.

He had three hookers on the field at one time and particularly Howarth didn't know where he was supposed to be playing.Thats not coaching

He also continues to use Feka for an innefective 10 mins per game.

Whilst we are short of numbers he should recall Tyson-Wilson from Doncaster because if its only 10 mins he wants from the player then he would be more effective at the moment than Feka.

It was a great effort from the players but its just papering over the cracks and gives Radford a lifeline for another few weeks which we didn't need if you want this club to move forward

Please point out where I have being derogatory or abusive to a poster? I've said Radford (in the third person) hasn't got an effing clue..if you think that needs to be marked out for moderation with regard to your obviously failed point..more fool you.

What my post that you helpfully highlighted was regarding constant abuse/derogatory/snidy remarks made directly toward myself from posters such as yourself..it seems you just can't help yourself but try to inflame the situation instead of passing a comment regarding Radfords remarks regarding 'fickle' fans..



Yes it's great that we won, hopefully more to come but instead of him going on about fans whom rightly or wrongly aren't turning up and being 'fickle' in his eyes, (and there are LOTS of reasons why fans would stop going to games)..he should just focus on the positives, we've a hell of a long way to go and his comments are just another nail in the coffin of my opinion on him that he hasn't got a clue, effing or otherwise..

Fair enough that he has the right to comment, but to be honest if that's what he said then I can't even remotely see how he's got the slightest valid point. I don't see or speak to anyone changing their mind from week to week, I think most fans are pretty consistent in that they don't think he's up to the job. This board right now shows that, people are still not convinced by him after we've just beaten the champions, the only difference is that they are now getting stick for saying so.



Also, those that have criticising him are not not supporting the club (there's a subtle difference between supporting him and supporting the club). Most, if not all, want the best for the club and believe that he is not consistent with that.

First things first cracking win, thought we were going to blow it at the end. Need to back it up on Friday now & hopefully rack up some tries against Sheffield to build some more confidence.



Listening on the radio did anybody else hear them talking about Houghton taking the radio off Rich Horne (think it was Horne) while he was on the field with water. I assume this was to talk to the rest of the coaching staff but it obviously isn't aloud & apparently the match commissioner didn't look to pleased about it & made a note of it. Wonder if we'll see any repercussions from it?

How do you get to the conclusion that MOST fans ??

If his bad coaching is responsible for our losses then it's only fair he gets credit for the wins. Let's face it, that hasn't exactly been an onerous task over the last several months.

Nothing like a good "It's down to the players when we win and the coach when we lose" argument.





By the way he lost Hadley after 5 mins so was probably unable to rotate his fit 17 any other way. What would you have done - played with 12 so we didn't have 3 hookers on at once ?





If we lose to Widnes then he's missed my target of 2 wins from 3 over Easter and I'd get rid personally. I could never, ever be disappointed with a win though unless perhaps it saved KR from relegation. Any fan who wants Hull to lose isn't a fan - that's my opinion and it won't be changed.

I'm just a fan, same as you. However I haven't decided to judge fellow fans for not praising Radford for one win.

Unfortunately, the Internet gives every bonehead a platform.

Cheer up, we are one day closer to Radford leaving the club. Just enjoy the win.

Some of the vitriol towards Radford on here is disgraceful in my opinion I like to highlight how disingenuous some 'fans' are.

That's not what I said. People are allowed to whenever they want. What I said was when they should be expected to, as in when I think it would be fair to call them into question for not doing so, as you are now.







Personal abuse is not right. Commenting on how he does the job is fair game.

Hanging in there

It was Rankin who took the radio I think, and the match commissioner was indeed unimpressed. I suspect we may cop a fine but nothing worse than that.

Good and very important win, like others have said we must back it up on Friday and kick on from now on. We have plenty of key players missing at least 6 that would make the 17.

God knows how I goy that one in

3 home games in SL now, win all three and things will look a lot different hopefully, obviously beat Sheffield in the cup.



Hopefully get some key players back.



Massive chance for Radford and the players to kick on now.

A wins a win and no matter how they come I will take it at the moment. However Mr Radford you may not today be bothered about the fans that haven't turned up today or tomorrow but remember last time you got cocky on Radio we lost the next four games. A few points for you to intake.



1) You beat a depleted St Helens side who took a battering on Friday had no half backs and lots of youngsters.



2) Despite the win we are still 11th.



3) I was here long before you came and will be long after you go. However with the dross you serve up most weeks on occasions I may decide to invest my money and time in other ways.



4) We have seen this stuff far too often, win one game then lose the next couple. Back it up over the next few weeks and you may just get cut some slack.

Fair points. Emotions running high all round. Although on 1) we had 7 out and lost Hadley. Injury situations played a draw for me.
