I thought we were discussing his age, but apparently we're talking about his weight. Thanks for enlightening us!!

| Weyman's a pudding. He was puffing and panting after 10 minutes. He likes the niggly little shots too. Him and Poor(e). They'll cost Rovers more than they'll gain. With the dream-team of Burns completing, they'll be penalty machines and teams will play on that.
Was Langley even bothered today?

| My rovers supporting mate reckoned they bombed 4 or 5 chances in the 1st half and could have had the game won by half time. Anyone who went can confirm/rubbish his claims? I'd like to shut him up

Yes, if they'd learned to pass and catch they might have won. But they can't so they didn't. HTH

Happened twice, watching them was like watching us a couple of years ago, had the braun but no brain
going on his theory we should have won the challenge cup then!

Poor execution, simple as. Would have thought they'd have sorted out slick passing and combinations in their 6-for-1 training week in Tenerife, tbh.

| Have to say that too many players were used yesterday (we had 25 and Rovers 31). In future if they insist on using the derby as a pre season fixture then at least limit the squad size of each side to around 22. It's all well and good given youngsters a run out but very few will feature in the 1st team over the course of a season. The senior players needed more minutes on the pitch together imo.

| I actually enjoyed the game yesterday. Lots of interchanges, terrible conditions and Hicks as ref should of been a recipe for disaster but fair play to both sets of players they all went about it whole heartedly.
for me the main things take from the game are the starting halfback combo has been answered with Horne and Rankin With Rankin looking like a real find.
Feka eased my worries with another good 10/15 mins.
The flying bin man must of answered a few critics with great performance considering his circumstances.
Ellis looks like a new man with a real appetite for the game.
Overall I'm a lot happier and looking forward to the new season a lot more than I was this time last year.
