Okay, including Ellis that’s three major players but again does that really contribute to us suddenly becoming a poor team? We score from kicks because we play to the strength of the players we have both in the halves and in the centres (for example Jake connor being great in the air). We score off the cuff tries because we have players that thrive off of that (Albert Kelly and Jake Connor). Obviously the lack of confidence is coming from the end of last year but we had a largely second string team out on the field. I could link you plenty of examples of scoring out wide and therefore stretching teams hence why most of the tried scored by us last year were scored out wide. We had young lads in the middle last year who are inexperienced and are prone to brain farts- they’re not seasoned professionals- they will lose concentration and be exposed its just the way it is. Most of what you’ve said as to why we are poor are mostly due to the circumstances our squad were exposed to last year.

Quinlan (who swept the board at the player of the year awards and is our best attcking threat)
Lunt- Former captain, horrible illness you all know he is a very good player.
Jewitt- A first choice if he was available
Scruton- As above
Wardill - Highly thought of at K.R, would be in Sheens' thoughts if fully fit.
Linnet - A doubt for the opener.

So I wouldn't use the old injury kop out just yet. Green hasn't played for yonks, and is turd fully fit, Bowden much the same.

Out of interest Jake, how much do you weigh athe moment.

Kelly and Westerman we can definitely put some hope on. Kelly is a match winner. And I am looking forward to seeing Westerman provide some much needed creativity in the middle. In his brief spell last year he did add something to the team. Getting both these lads back on the field will make a big difference to us.

I agree , and all 5 playing regularly would make a difference , but my point been , none have these have been for a long time , and I'm doubtful if they ever will be . Really fear Kelly , great player, but pointless having him if he's sat in the stands every week

problem for Albo is he puts everything into his defence and its difficult to see going the whole season without him getting another head injury.
I just hope we get to see some of his magic this season rather than sitting in the stand or even worse having to retire from the game.

Looking like a combination of Griffin and Dawson against Rovers, if Rovers target that right they will have a field day.
