Only one dick on this thread, someone who can't understand discussion, the other thread has plenty of positives comments, this one is to discuss our issues with discipline, which unless you are blind we clearly have.

Stupid by Sika. Apart from that there's no major concern over discipline.

The only incident I'd call stupid was Manu. No idea what he was thinking.

Most of the other stuff has been stupid calls by the ref - last week is a case in point. I'm not seeing us be any worse than last season and yet we're getting pinged more. Wonder why...

I was a fly on the wall at the recent ref's meeting. Under AOB, alarmingly, was
" Let's make sure we get Hull " Motion passed unanimously.

What's worse depending on which forum one visits, the agenda item reads " Let's get Warrington...Wigan...Saints...Leeds..."

IF any of them clubs can give evidence as to a player being harshly treated ala Watts then I'd agree with you but somehow I doubt it.

Even the player he fouled? and his coach felt it wasn't worthy of a ban yet he gets 2 matches.

Amor, who plays for Saints, did something far worse and got sending off sufficient. Wish we had the agenda that applies to Saints!

There definitely is. Sending offs, yellow cards and too many penalties conceded. When we cut this out we look really good. When we don't we get humped by average teams like salford and leeds

Quote: knockersbumpMKII "sorry but that really isn't 'careless', it's a deliberate act on Manu's part and is dangerous with potentially horrible outcomes.
I guess you may not have had a 16 stone bloke forcing your arm against the joint with force when you're incapable of stopping it due to being held and flat on your back/stomach? if that was done by an opposing teams player our fans would be baying for blood, should get two games at least and deservedly so.'"

Guess your only watching in slow motion replays, yes stupid , deliberate I dont think so . At full speed id say is initial thought was to try turning him over, the pull on his arm lasted a second , then he released. Careless and stupid for me, any more than 2 games would be harsh imo

No there isn't. Defence was the issue in those games. We're not doing anything differently to last season in respect of discipline.

Last year we where 9th for penalties conceded , this year 2nd, it is a problem, alot of Leeds and Salfords pens came on the back of poor penalties.

Looking at this, the anmount of players sin inner, sent off and banned I think discipline is clearly an issue, even on Friday with a good lead we gave away a series of penalties and was put on a team warning, luckily good goal line defence and poor Warrington play stopped them getting back in the game.

On average, less than 2 penalties per game more than the team with the fewest.
Not what I'd call significant, never mind lacking in discipline.

And the red/yellow cards - more down to the referees and their different interpretations of the rules.

eg

Quote: Dave K. "Terrible decision to send Wasts off, like Saints we paid for the ref incompetence to not send off Westwood and Ferres, was a pen and probably 10 mins.

Should get SOS.'"

It is, a lot are dumb (including a few with the ball in hand)and also late in the tackle count, at times last season I though we where poor, but much worst this year.

Don't agree about the refs, Watts apart I think all the decisions were correct.

Certainly been dealt harsly by the RL disciplinary though.

Crikey, next you'll be saying every penalty not given to us was correct as well.
Penalties could be given at nearly every tackle/play the ball - it's up to the ref to (randomly) decide whether to award one or not.

That's rubbish, also big difference between sin binning and Pens.

I'll agree at times it seems to be random, but often penalties for both teams are obvious.

Every fan could say that they are hard done to my refs.

2nd highest number of penalties conceded in the comp, 7 yellow cards and 1 red would indicate otherwise. Our poor ball control (which was much better on Friday) and indiscipline have put additional pressure on our defence

Why is it rubbish? Have you never seen us not given a penalty when a few minutes earlier we were penalised for exactly the same offence?
