I thought it was going to be a huge loss for us when he went but infairness we coped well without him and even playing in a dominant Leeds side over the past few seasons he has hardly been pulling up any trees performance wise and just doesnt look the same player that left us.
He also now seems to struggle to put a run of games together without having some kind of injury or another.
The big dilema for Radford & Motu is how and who are we going to replace Ellis and Mini with as those two are such pivotal players for us both on and off the field. Ellis was always going to be a big signing for us at the time and has proven his class even at his age now. Mini for me was an unknown to an extent and overshadowed by his brother to a degree and many were not sure when he was signed but boy what a signing and player he has been for us. I would have to say for me Minichello has probably been the best overseas signing we have had at this club since the days of Kemble, Leuluai & O'Hara.
I really hope Motu can replace both of them with the same mould of player.'"
I haven't seen or read anything from Motu so far this year, assume he's still at the club? |

Love to see us go for Paul Gallen if ellis calls it a day. Definitely the same sort of character as ellis professional wise. Would be massive off the pitch with our youngsters as well

We definitely need a forward, would be great to see Sam Moa back, and I'm glad Motu is still around, he, and Radford seem to have things covered. Not booking Wembley hotel just yet, or Manchester! If Kelly, Sneyd and Shaul stay fit, with Ellis I'm hopefull of another good season. |

Think Mannering is a good shout with Motu's connections and would be a good replacement for either Ellis or Mini. Would have liked someone like Fensom tho he has recently signed a 2 year deal with the Cowboys.
Think its definitely going to be difficult to replace a player like Ellis without using a quota spot.
Whoever comes in to replace Ellis and Mini they are going to have big boots to fill. |

Don't think we'll secure anyone younger then Ellis who can play anywhere near his standard. The NRL is really tying up the talent now and fair play to them.

Mannering 30, he's got plenty of years in the NRL yet.
Widdops last contract was $600k pa, When Ben Hunt has just signed a 6 year $1mil per season deal Widdop must fancy his chances of getting a good deal.
The best youngsters in the Nrl have already signed million dollars deals before they've debuted. See Kelly and Suli for example.
