But I'd call ellis as best forward. 37 tackles and only played 60 mins. Had a good influence again when he retuned

Agree that Ellis was best forward for us. Just wanted to give watts mention after viewing in a calm way. Thought Taylor was solid but not at level he's set this yr. Was hard for all the forwards as Warrington really did match us in that area. Not a criticism as years gone by that wire pack would of won game but our pack is relentless as they just keep going so the opposition can't just dominate for 60 mins thinking games won. For years we've spoke of mental toughness. Don't think I've ever seen a f.c side mentally stronger

Good point about Watts. Although he has been a bit overshadowed by Taylor, Ellis etc he still has had an outstanding season.

You know what, the fitness and sheer mass of our forwards mean that although teams can match us and keep them quiet for 60 minutes, but the effort that it takes severely weakens them towards the end of the game

Thought Taylor lifted us when he came on for his second spell, and Mini never took a backwards step despite Wire having him well covered.

Right at the end I was wondering what Watts was doing laying on the floor after missing a tackle. Then at the last minute he hopped back up & tackled Sandow from behind forcing him to pass and in turn forcing the knock on to end the game. Lucky he was there really although I'm sure he'd say it was planned.

If we are discounting hookers then I agree Watts was our stand out, but if I'm being honest the best forward on the pitch was Chris Hill. He's some player.
