You won't get any argument from me regarding Lloyd, however the topic was about Durham and not about comparing him with local hacks who should never have returned from NZ. As for "respected", by whom? I stand by my assessment of Durham. I don't care how many listeners he has, the Sun presumably outsells my preferred newspaper but it's still a waste of a good tree.

Durham works for a radio station which relies on people calling in. He has to court controversy otherwise there is no debate. His knowledge and views on football are deep and well thought out.

That he is one of the very few national broadcastors who will promote Rugby League to a national audience can only be applauded.

Probably not, but you could always just not listen to him and avoid any tweets and articles he writes if he upsets you so much.

Durham says left, Goughy says right on all football debate. I don't always agree with what Adrian Durham says, but at least he'll lay out his case to back up his view.

As previously said, he actively promotes rugby league and always gives us a mention.

If you don't like him, don't listen. There's always John Inverdale, who continually delights in putting down rugby league. During the RU World Cup he was almost blaming Sam Burgess for world poverty, unrest in the Middle East and the financial crisis, on top of England's inability to beat Wales. He conveniently forgot to mention that England were winning when Sam got substituted, but why let the truth get in the way over good story?

Don't read anything he writes, wasn't aware he did. I rarely catch him on talk sport, as apart from the excellent Hawksby & Jacobs, the rest is garbage. Doesn't mean I can't have an opinion though does it?
