Arguably, but he was Wakefield's talisman and a key part of the Leeds side in his 4 years there, playing in 3 Grand Finals (winning 2). That's pretty impressive, IMO. Burgess only actually played 76 games in SL, Ellis is approaching 250. I wouldn't necessarily go with Ellis, but IMO he's got more of a case than Burgess.

With Morley it's admittedly a bit more controversial as I said, but IMO I think his NRL reputation has overshadowed what he's done here a bit. He was only ever part of a successful SL side when he parachuted into the dominant Bulls team for the last half a dozen games, and were it not for a lot very generous refereeing since his return he should have spent a hell of a lot more time in the stands. In terms of what they did in SL, I'd say Fielden achieved/performed more.

Briers/Wellens/Fielden/R Hall/Joynt all a fair shout for inclusion

Monaghan of Mcguire are both players made to look good by others work without creating much on their own. Good at what they do, granted, but as the bloke a few rows behind always says when we play Leeds, Mcguire couldn't run a bath never mind an attacking play.

Sculthorpe has to be in for mine. Wingers would be Richards and Albert (with a fair shout also for Brian Carney) with centres of Newlove and Lyon. Halves of Long and Martin. Is there a case for Jason Smith to be included?

close call between sculthorpe and panface but this team has 3 prolific place kickers in it and i've gone with the saints man.

Pretty much agree with this. I would have Andy Farrell in at 13 though and would have Frano Botica in at 6 simply for his goal kicking..never saw anything like it, pin point accurate with the boot and a decent stand off.
