If we cannot win tomorrow night, it will be worse than losing to that pi$$ poor Wakefield side of last week.'"
Take about massive overreaction, here is the team that might play for Wigan tonight.
Sarginson
Manfredi
Goudling
Gelling
Burgess
Green
Smith
Taylor
Powell
Crosby
Bateman
Hughes
McIlorum
Clubb
Dudson
Sutton
Williams
In bold are the players who would get into the Wigan full strength 17, I think there is only Sutton and Williams who can still play for the 19's.
Most of these have played lots of games for Wigan this year.
This team would beat Wakefield at home IMO.
I do agree we should be beating them tonight though.

Having just seen the Wigan side in the paper I really don't know where your coming from. It looks a very competitive side ok it's not classed as full strength but good enough to beat most teams in SL. Make no bones about it we will need to be at our very best to come away with W tonight.

| I also don't see where all this confidence that we will win easily (or at all) is coming from.
Remember how we struggled to beat a weakened Wigan team the week after Wembley?

Think Dudson might get in a full strength team as well.
The action of building up expectation of an easy Hull win so that if it doesn't happen the crescendo of vitriol can reach new heights is totally alien to me but it's happening right here on this thread.

I think some posters are just getting carried away at the chance of beating Wigan because they are under strength. I don't believe anyone hopes that we won't win.

No change there then.
It's been happening for years and involves the usual suspects.

| Whichever way we look at it we are playing the league & cup holders. Their squad is full of quality. So regardless of injuries they have players with the required skill, knowledge and desire to compete for them. We on the other hand currently have absolutely no idea what our squads mindset is for tonight's game. If something goes wrong in the first quarter we could be in for a long night.
Equally if we play to our full potential and turn them over especially convincingly, there will be those who say, well it's only their "b" team. Or words to that effect. We can't win either way.
But as a Hull fan all I want to see is 2 points coming our way.
For those who know me I am simply praying for a Wigan double loss tonight however they come.

I have never wanted my team to lose and will happily take 2 points against anyone however they come.

Dudson definitely wouldn't as he is our sixth choice prop behind Taylor, Flower, Pettybourne, Clubb and Crosby. Also Sarginson wouldn't get into the full strength team as Bowen would be first choice fullback, Charnley and Burgess on the wings and Thornley and Goulding in the centres. Less than half that 17 are first choice players.
