| Bit disappointed really, gutted it didn't work for him! I so wanted him to succeed. I do hope he replacement isn't a gamble as the rumours may suggest!

| I thought after the anger of last Thursday had subsided he may have been given another year. On balance it's probably the right call though. Gutted as two years ago I was convinced that signing the Australian assistant coach would surely deliver us top 4 status. AP talked about following the Warrington model. Two years in and that's scrapped. We now look like we will be following the home grown Wigan model. What if this doesn't work? Good luck Pete. What a top bloke.

That's like saying you prefer being stabbed in the eye than the balls.
Anyway shame it didn't work out with Gentle but two years on we still look devoid of attacking ideas and structure so he had to go

TO be honest if it's an option of keeping Gentle over the suggested replacements I would rather be stabbed in the eyes. then again even that is better than how gentle was treated by his players and coaching staff..

| I don't know if this is the right decision, I think we will struggle next year.

| The Radford Coup has it's main obstacle removed.
Sorry to see him go, two years is not enough taking into account what he inherited. I think the manner of the defeats, rather than the defeats themselves sealed his fate unfortunately, showing something wasn't quite right behind the scenes.
Good luck to him.

| Genuinely don't know what to think anymore. I said a few years ago, the only thing that would ever stop me getting a pass is if Cooke came back to the club....................
Good luck Peter, probably the right decision, depending on what the next decision is...........

| I hope we get someone decent. Not Radford, we need to change the culture, not keep it

| This could be a massive mistake , the club needs stability at this moment in time.Sure he's made some mistakes with his recruitments but the young players that have come through albeit in unfortunate circumstances show that we're heading in the right direction.I fear the worst if the rumours are true about his successor it could set us back years, I & the rest of my family hoped he'd be given a chance next season to turn it around but will have to seriously think about keeping our passes(already paid for ) for next season.

Unfortunately to get a change in culture some of our senior players and coaching staff need to go until that happens doubt the club will change from a mid table club to exactly what AP wants as there are too many with over inflated egos at the club (Radford and yeaman being just two of them)

This.'"
Same for me.
Possibly the right decision for Gentle to go but appointing Radford will be a backwards step and for me it will be the last straw and I will withdraw my pass application.
Promoting the assistant after sacking a failed head coach has never worked for this club over the last 8 years and I just dont see it working now. As an assistant to Gentle he has been part of the TEAM that has failed and as such both should have gone. The senior players with the odd exception have played Gentle out of the door and in all honesty it looks as though there has been a coup to oust Gentle as I can not believe a professional team even without a coach would have put in such a dire performance as they did on Thursday.

| I got told by a friend of radfords, that 'he got the nod for the job a while back' which I find utterly bizarre,it must have been really difficult if that's true to work under those circumstances,I feel sorry for the guy,if that's true.I hope AP knows what he is doing and comes out and tells the fans exactly what's happening/going to happen.
