At least,we'd be able to catch & pass, and attack as a team.
He's not the answer to all our problems, but at least we'd be making positive strides forward.

its been 6/7 long years since we were half-decent, it is too big of a job for an untested coach. We've tried and failed with Sharp, Agar & now Gentle, and you can even argue that Kear is better as an assistant than a head coach. Time to stop gambling on assistants and bring in some quality.'"
Prepare for disappointment. It's most likely Radford. At least initially.
People are still looking for a magic wand.
They don't exist.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Not sure there's much point in bringing in a coach we know isn't the answer to our problems.

I know. That was part of my point. I'm not convinced that the assistant bit is relevant and it limits the pool of available choices.

He's won nothing. He was so well thought of in the NRL that he's now coaching the US. A couple of seasons in, there'll be calls for his head amidst claims that we should never have brought a coach in with such a poor record of winning trophies.

Based on what?
If he's that good at getting teams in with a chance of winning trophies he'd have won some by now.

I think the assistant bit is relevant, Sharp, Agar & Gentle clearly know a lot about the game, and must be good at some parts of the coaching or they wouldn't have got where they where in the game...but all 3 seem to lack that ruthless streak and desire to win that separates an assistant coach with a top head coach IMO

Based on he's a very good coach . He wont stand for the substandard performances we've seen this season either .

At this moment in time, we need a coach who is proven, in implementing structures ,as we are so badly lacking in the basics of RL.

| The supporters/Gentle have being let down badly by the players, Though I do agree that we seem to lack a game plan.
Holdsworth appears to have not recovered from his head injury.
Miller has being thrown in the deep end without a rudder.
Ellis has not recovered from his injury at Wests and it will only get worse
And we lost Horne when he was playing well
Crookes/Arundel/Galea/Johnson. Poor to average signings and waste of salary cap money.
I'd give Gentle another season, but I'm pretty sure he's gone, shame because Gentle is doing excellent work giving the young players a chance, and young players of real quality in Shaul, Crooks, Lineham.
