Gutted when he left , I'd be gutted if he came back.

Still in the top 3 props in SL when he plays but injuries would work against him. If we're struggling to find replacements elsewhere for O Meley then a one year deal might be OK. The club will have to weigh up the pros and cons based upon who exactly is available to sign/wants to come to Hull which is something the fans forget at times. I would hope we could get someone younger who is as good as Carvell but like others on here I'm not party to the list of options.

Not for me, keep developing the young uns.

And if we aspire to be a 'top 4 club', and think we are a bigger club than Wire for example, it sends out the wrong message that we let him goe for the best years of his career and then take him back at the end for a short term fix.

I have no doubt he could help us this year, but would rather see our young players given game time.

IMO we are not gonna win anything this year anyway, its all about next year and a '7'. So may as well blood the youngsters as much as possible.

I'd consider it for a year, but worry about his age.

Not sure why people think he is injury prone (although was at Hull)

In 2011 he played 26 games same in 2012 and so far this year played 12 games.

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't Carvell the guy who signed a new contract with us and then decided he didn't want to play for us a day later?

If Carvell came in on a year deal to replace Galea, I could live with that. He's a class player and would improve our current squad.

Green is the real deal though and any signing of this ilk should never hold the likes of this lad back. Best forward prospect come through the club in years. Different gravy to Bowden who will never make it.

Sign him up on a 4 year deal then cancel it at last minute, over something like a failed eye test. See how he likes it

Given the things we've learnt about the old board since they left...I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that, with all the pettiness of not buying the CC winners a round of sandwiches...covering up a failed drugs test and the rest who knows what actually went on!

I'd take him. Still got a good few years in him yet.
