I don't really know what's happened to the way we play. We seem to be so lethargic, with minimal offloading and passing. The players are playing differently to last season, which is why I'm still reluctant to blame our form solely on PG.

Whatever the reason, that performance was appalling.

expected to lose given hb problem, but 2nd half that was no excuse. we were out defended by one of the worst defences in sl. all teams get injuries yet we always buckle when we have em.
eden poor under a high ball but we didnt even try to exploit it.even without a recognised kicker how hard is it to punt a ball high in a rough direction(n yes i have played,wasnt a kicker but could do basic punts to left, right or centre)
attendance & revenue should make us a top 4 side yet year on year we under achieve.
thought gentle looked like a rabbit in the headlights in after match interview, n houghton saying they wanted it more hardly fills me with confidence.
lets see if wakey want it more.

A coach doesn't make players injured.
With a full strength side on the pitch we would be much better. I don't believe in sacking him yet as he's having to Patch up positions with no quality. He needs some freedom to get some halves in.

Give it to end of season or until we are consistently loosing as a full strength team

I have questioned more than most, earlier than most, whether our coach was the saviour most on here seemed to get carried away about.

I'd rather sack players first than gentle.

gentle wanted a pack that was mobile and to play expansive rugby! thats where he has got it wrong imo, this isnt the NRL its SL, we dont have the quality of players to be mobile and we definatly dont have the players to be expansive, or the players choose not to be!

how many games are we going to be outmuscled in the pack by teams this season, we don't have an aggresive forward in our squad who can punch holes in other teams defences, rovers had two or three players of that kind who bullied our forwards from minute 1 and gave hall all the time in the world to put kicks in as we were constantly on the back foot 95% of the game! until we get some decent hard hitting prop we will be an easy touch!

I know it was last year but how can you say they out enthused us in the derbys last year? + their still only worth 2 points.

Also do you seriously think AP doesn't know we still need halfbacks & hasn't been trying?

Ogre and Watts are aggressive props who have an offload, but for some reason not doing it this season compared to last season. That's what I don't get, what's changed?

not saying sack him, but im not remotely inspired by gentle at the mo, n clearly the players arent either. we had a stronger side vs widnes n still lost(absolutely terrorised by hock who took the p1ss out of our pack)
theres a problem in the hull team n i dont know what it is, but gentle had better address it soon because i dont think pearson will put up with it, he wont suffer fools gladly.

Don't think we lost the forward battle at all, we made good meters all game. We were just poor in the halves, because we had none.
It's alright looking for scapegoats and wanting the coach out etc. but until we address the fundamental problem things will never improve.
We are without doubt the dumbest, most unintelligent set of rugby players in the league. Only Rich Whiting has a rugby brain. So when our halves are out we run around like headless chickens and panic, we are unable to stick to the structures which makes whoever plays in the halves job even more difficult as players shouldn't need their hands holding.
We look better when we offload and play off the cuff, which is the only criticism of Gentle I have so far as its obviously an instruction he's given not to offload.

Agreed. Our forwards got us to their line, it was then where we were clueless. This is why it's so frustrating, we get so close, yet we are so far away.
