Richard Horne = LEGEND . Great news

Nice one Rich, a guy who has been asked to lead FC for years, a role hes not good at, and has never complained nor sherked the responsibility. Hopefully he can grasp this chance and roll back the years a bit more over this and next season

A wow of a game on Sunday but didn't expect a 1 year contract offer on the back of it. If he can keep up this level of performance and stay relatively injury free then great, and Seymour may hardly get a look in, but I hope he is just a squad player in 2014 and we can get a quality number 7 on board.

I have a feeling he will have a good season, he looked like a young pup again on Sunday with lots of energy and I don't think that performance will be a one off.

No problem with another year (I am sure the price was right), he has been a great servant to the club and will prove to be a great mentor to the up & coming h/backs.

I think he has Holdsworth to thank for a lot of his good plays on Sunday, for once he was able to stand second receiver which he is best at.

something we and he has known forever but just took years to get the right partner hasnt it, hope he blows it away this season...., his first show and go last week was like when he first came on the scene..the ammount of time he created for himself was ridiculous

Providing this deal is worth peanuts then I have no real problem with it. That said still can't help but think we've gone from Scott prince to extending Hornes deal. Hope we are not happy to just settle for that.

If Rich can rekindle something of his old form on a regular basis then he'll be an excellent asset to have around for another year.
There is also Seymour's future at the club to consider. If we manage to offload him and bring in a replacement and then also let Horne go we'd be right back at square one if one of our halves got injured whereas by having Horne around for another year we have both cover and competion for places which can only be a good thing.

I think it is a good move by Hull and well timed. All 3 front line halves are now signed up for 2014 and with Rich Wilkinson and Danny Nicklas waiting in the wings Peter Gentle wont be bombarded with questions about a marque half back signing all season.
