| Bear in mind too Widnes got 3 new players in since they played Rovers, while it should be a comfortable win on paper their confidence will be up and it will be a different team to the one Rovers played.

| Quote Isaiah="Isaiah"I know losing to Widnes would be very embarrassing, but I think if we are going to bring young players through, then it should be in games like this. If we have future aspiration to break into the top 4, then at least for this season, I would rather put development before points.'"
I disagree, i would play our strongest team everytime and only change the team when we are forced to with injuries etc.The young guys will get there chance when the chance arises.

| Agree with Isaiah in a way, But not against Super league opposition, Its too risky, We can try it out if we are lucky enough to get some Lower league matches in the Challenge cup games.

| Gentle's face was a picture when he found out the Widnes-Wigan
We should play our strongest team, keep the momentum going.

Under normal circumstances I could agree with you, but the damage done by the last regime is going to take a lot of mending. I think our short term priority has to be development, or we could end up just being a long term top 8 team.
(imho) It is best to know just what we have coming through the ranks, before the new season of letting players go and bringing new players in.

| Play our strongest possible line-up. It's a great chance to work on the attacking structure in a game situation and hopefully put a few points on the board to gain some confidence with ball in hand.

Agreed, the youngsters will get plenty of chances when injuries occur.
@Isiah - The youngsters can already see that when injuries happen Gentle will quite happily bring in the younger player to cover that position. It will now give the youngsters more to play for in the U20's now they know they will get a chance if/when an injury in their position happens.

I would of thought the first team youngsters are developing all the time in a full time environment, plus the added bonus of the dual contract scheme playing at a higher level. It all looks very good for the future.

| Until we start looking like a coherent attacking unit, then we shouldn't even consider blooding any youngsters unncessarily

| Just watched the Widnes/wigan highlights. Widnes looked good attacking wise, but shocking defensively.

My thoughts exactly.
Once Gentle has the team playing how he wants with all the errors and mistakes cut out then and only then would I be tempted to tinker slightly if the opportunity arises in the CC but not in SL or against SL opposition unless we have no option due to injuries/suspension.
